    What have you purchased recently?

A circular saw, electric planer, battery and charger plus a couple of 6x2 MDF. Going to be building some shelves into odd corners in my kitchen and making sure my doors finally shut properly.

WHFB 3rd edition til death! DEEEEEAAAAATHH!!!! 2nd Edition Epic til death! DEEEAAAATTHH!!!!, Rogue Trader til...*cough*, you get the picture. No idea what happened after 3rd rules wise, I just remember 4th having some much better sculpt/mould quality but at the same time some utter atrocities...

    Warhammer 40K Lore Discussion

I'm pretty much just computer games now for GW, and not much at that. Will get Rogue Trader CRPG once it's 50% off. Don't think I've bought anything model wise since the burning of prospero box set, which I sold along with most of my new unpainted stuff a few years ago, as well as any post...

    Warhammer 40K Lore Discussion

Oh yes, I get why GW has developed the setting, I get that a lot of people like it, it's just not for me. They do make some very cool looking toy soldiers and imagery, and I do have that sense of nostalgia for the old days, so I pop my head in from time to time to see what's up, but as soon as...

    Warhammer 40K Lore Discussion

Hmmm...Warhammer 34K eh? The Inquisition is watching you... The weird 3 eyed, blue tinted bit at the end would indicate Tzeentch fuckery. I think it's a 40k version of "a wizard did it", basically blame any weird shit on Tzeentch.

Rainbow Warriors, it's even lore accurate.

    Warhammer 40K Lore Discussion

Just recalled the Rick Priestly interview I posted earlier. There were basically no aliens because Bryan Ansell didn't think they'd sell. The only reason they had orks, eldar and squats was because people would buy those for fantasy games and they could sell conversion kits. It does amuse me...

    Warhammer 40K Lore Discussion

What I liked about Rogue Trader in its initial form, and it took a few decades for a forum user here, Gethsemane I think, to put it into words for me, was that humanity had basically won. There was no great existential threat. No chaos, Tyranids were a minor footnote, orks were a nuisance, no...

    What have you learned today?

Any English kids story involving animals is bound to be a traumatising lesson in the realities of the harsh and uncaring natural world.

    Warhammer 40K Lore Discussion

Eh, I gave up on the lore sometime around 1993. Adding a few shards of broken glass to a mixture that is already 50% sewage and used needles doesn't make much difference to me. /End standard pointless grognard comment that adds nothing to the conversation.

No idea that he'd died, or indeed been in prison from 2008 for armed robbery and kidnapping.

    General Gaming News.

Now, I'm not a fan of FF7 myself, but that displays a quite stupifying lack of awareness off what FF7 is and means to people. Although that said, it might be that the comment is more a criticism of story and gameplay, and that the swimsuit edition is some sort of attempt to distract from that...

Stellar Blade (formally Project Eve) - Korean Sci-Fi Bayonetta/Nier: Automata Edition

I did have the first 2 volumes of the original run in softback and then the rest in the monthly editions. I think it finished when she was somehow reborn/made in some weird flower bud thing on Tiphares/Zarem (I think Zarem might have been the name for it in the Anime?, or maybe I misheard...

Stellar Blade (formally Project Eve) - Korean Sci-Fi Bayonetta/Nier: Automata Edition

Much as I am repulsed by the animus these days, I did have a dalliance with manga/anime is the 90s and I have to say the original manga was one of the best, if not the best I ever read. The anime was decent too. I think it was the last of my old comic collection to get sold off.
