The actor who played Lord Bowler in the one-season comedy western show The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., Julius Carry, was also in the comedy kung-fu film The Last Dragon as Sho'nuff, the Shogun of Harlem.
And today I learned that the actor who played Sho'nuff actually did anything else with his life besides becoming an instantly recognizable caricature within the Black community. (And that's Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon, btw; show some respect.)

Sharktopus is real

Welp, that's it then. Humanity had a good run.

I've been wondering why the Dell UltraSharp 40 productivity monitor that I have had for six weeks often blacks out briefly when going in and out of fullscreen programs like image viewers and when going through images. It was AMD FreeSync. The variable refresh rate available in the Windows Display settings keeps screen tearing out of my games without causing me these fullscreen annoyances. I'm so relieved that I finally figured it out.

I did a bit of self-discovery;

I am currently in 3.5 weeks of vacation between Korea and Japan. Currently 2 weeks in.

You'd think I would be having a blast, and that is correct to some degree. However, I also kinda hate the urban experience.
The food, shopping, touring cool landmarks is all awesome, but it is also draining both phyiscally and mentally.

Yes, these vacations are nice, but I think I prefer quiet nature resorts, like the ones next to a mountain or a beach. Just places where I can actually lay down and relax. And go out to explore when I feel like it, and I don't miss out much if I am not constantly doing so.

I still have one week left in Japan (flying out from Korea tomorrow, in fact!), and I am praying I have enough energy to help me get through.

Don't be afraid to just "take a day off" in your vacation. It's easy to let FOMO or the idea you'll never do something again keep you on your feet despite knowing that you're fatigued and not fully enjoying the experience.

When I travel I usually spend at least a couple days a week in a nice hotel, walking around near it, reading books, watching local cable tv and ordering takeout to eat by myself in my room. It helps me enjoy the trip much more since I'm recharging and also experiencing my favorite thing about solo travel: anonymity and guilt free laziness. Seeing the sites is fun but it gets to be a lot in areas where there is so much to experience.

I don't know if it's possible on such short notice, but maybe you can take a day off like EvilRoy suggest by going to an onsen and just soaking/lazing in the baths for a good long while. If you haven't been to one before, it'll be both a new experience and an opportunity to unwind. Two birds with one stone.
