All a company has to do is just say "AI" and investors will start throwing money.

Still, I can't wait to see AI-powered shoes on the market, that'll be a laugh riot
See that's the thing, they seem to have nothing to do with shoes at all anymore. So they're just using whatever they got from selling their shoe business to start some AI bullshit. You can smell the desperation through your screen, so I can't comprehend how anyone is remotely positive on their shares.

Apparently, having failed at being a shoe company, they realised they now had a load of factories with nothing to make in them. So, make them AI datacentres.

I don't know how readily shoe factories can be converted to AI datacentres. I suspect Allbirds and their investors don't know either.

"I mean, you just turn the switch on the machines from 'shoes' to 'AI', right?"
That's half the kind of thinking that makes a CEO.

The other half is telling the minions to flick that switch with fewer staff on lower pay.

Distilling is not illegal, it is at worst a brach of user agreements.
And the aquired information is not copyrightable.

So let them cry.

Fixed!

Any country's passion for IP rights directly correlates to how much IP it generates, or how much a more powerful country with lots of IP coerces it.

Years from now we're going to have "Wait, they put it in what?" reactions to all the stuff AI has been put into, including a lot of stuff we're going to have to keep using long after everyone accepts it was a bad idea, because it was put in there in such a way that it is nearly impossible to remove

You know. Like asbestos
