Been running around various areas in Vampire Crawlers trying to get strong enough to clear Teeny Bridge. I haven't managed to get all the way across yet, but I did get the stage's relic at least. I feel kinda roadblocked by not having a lot of upgrades purchased yet, though, rather than because I haven't figured out the right strategy. It's a bit of a pain, but admittedly Vampire Survivors was like that too sometimes.

Well, hopefully after a few more runs it'll be dealt with and I can get back to the good stuff in the areas past the Bridge.

Goodness, that looks Indian, don't see much of that in computer gaming.

Sure, there may be ~2 billion south Asians in the world, both Microsoft and Alphabet run by people with that background, but their representation seems very thin.
And Hinduism has some absolutely fantastical stuff going on in it that would make for some amazing game backdrops.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
iirc smite got in some hot water for using hindu god, so might not be worth the trouble.
Not really, it turned out the hot water was one Hindu group that was made up of one person who was mad about Kali's design.

Successfully cleared Teeny Bridge by doing a temporary respec into pretty much just Armor and Pummarola, and Imelda to get an actual deck quickly out of the early enemies. I now have a relic to gain money faster when replaying old stages and a few new upgrades to sink that money into, and I've learned that respec can actually be pretty strong in this game, at least early on before I have enough money to just buy all the upgrades. Things are going alright.

Where can I obtain this?
It's a quasi sequel to Returnal so probably for now a playstation exclusive. Though if the original is out on the personal chonk hopefully this'll follow suit depending on the bipolar whims of whoever's giving orders at any given time.

I'm playing Silent Hill f. Actually, I'm on my second playthrough. I'm a little conflicted about it. On one hand, I like this game's vibes and atmosphere, and am interested to see where this story goes. I also like the puzzles, and wished that there were more of them. Bumped difficulty up to Lost in the Fog for my second run. I'm gonna try for all the endings, including the UFO one.

But on the other hand, I am very much not a fan of the combat. But it's not "bad" in the way combat was slow and clunky, like in the old games. It's just ... not fun. Every enemy type is imo kind of a drag to fight, and unlike the old games, it's not always easy or even possible to just run around them.

That's why I got myself a trainer so I can just 1hko all the regular enemies with a quick swing of my kitchen knife. I turn it off for the bosses, but otherwise, no shame. It's less time spent on aspects I don't like to get to the parts I do like faster, and I consider that a worthwhile trade.

On Vampire Crawlers, just made it to the last boss of Gallo Tower. Which I thought was the last level, but it is not, as I unlocked a new level that I will try on my next run. This game is such a timesink, but it feels rewarding because I can only think of a few runs I consider "wasted" in terms of progress, mostly trying out new characters on dungeons that were perhaps a bit too high level for them at the time.

Played some of Saros, and I don't think the typically lovecraftian Hell space setting and morose characters are engaging enough for me to wanna run through it again, and again, and again.

Ok, so that's my second playthrough of Silent Hill f over and done with. I got the third ending. Beat fox dude's ass. "Oh, I love you so I'm letting you go" Boohoo. Fuck you, you creepy groomer.. Hinako clumsily overswinging with her weapons and then witch time dodging and parrying will never not look hilariously stupid.

Finally got around to beating Legacy of Kain Defiance Remastered. Its quite good, but mainly for story, which isn't as tight as Soul Reaver 2's, but its still quite good and even ends in a mostly satisfying manner, enough of a good ending to end, but not enough to say no sequel couldn't come. The gameplay can be kinda rough, like there was an issue that cropped up with my controller inputs not being read, but I don't remember if the original had that issue or not. It could have been the remaster being a bit wonky, or it not quite liking my 3rd party controller. Anyway, still fantastic, really glad to own the trilogy. Hope the original gets the treatment also, don't really care of Blood Omen 2 does, I remember it not really doing much for me back in the day.

Beat Chrono Trigger. Final playtime about 20 hours with some pretty hefty sidequesting. Definitely a smaller game than I remembered, but on the other hand IMO it's a greater merit to be consistently great and lean than bloated and mediocre. Which is to say it holds up like crazy for an over 30-year old game. Most games that old are barely even playable these days. The graphics are obviously peak 90s pixel art, but it's the character animation that's the real visual highlight. It is astonishingly lively, expressive and characterful for just being a series of mostly static sprites, and allows the game to be cartoony and silly in ways that are nigh impossible to replicate in 3D. The soundtrack is absolutely GOATed. It has perhaps the best traditionally happy ending of any game I've played, and one of the best in any medium period. There's zero cynicism or tragic irony to it, it is pure and sincere catharsis.

One very weird thing about the narrative is in the very final chapter, where the game finally opens up and you've got a whole lot of various things you can do. The weird thing is the Black Omen: despite being the high domain of arguably the main villain of the game (being that Lavos is more of a presence than a character), it's actually completely optional. You can just ignore it completely and head straight to Lavos, and it will impact nothing: there's no additional challenges, or even an acknowledgement in the epilogue. Which is just strange for just how influential of a character Queen Zeal is, and how much buildup you have to the appearance of the Black Omen.

Started playing Persona 5 and got a bit overwhelmed by the idea of it all.

I don't have the energy or time to do multiple playthroughs of the game yet I would still like to do as much as possible which leaves me in a weird paralysed state; on the one hand I'd like to continue on with the story, on the other hand I'm afraid I'll miss some event or whatever so I don't want to play it.

Don't know if I'll ever continue past April like this.
Decided to continue playing Persona 5 but with the assistance of a "100% Perfect Schedule" guide.

Usually I don't enjoy playing games with guides open, but I'm rather enjoying the experience thus far. Everyday there seem to be events going on and stuff to do, it's a very densely packed experience with a brisk pace.

Just finished up the third Palace of the game, bring on July!

If you aren't already doing it, I also recommend having a guide for Persona fusions as well.

Scary moment in Elden Ring: the Fell Twins fight. I thought the game had bugged out for a moment but apparently the game is supposed to fade to black out of nowhere and place you in pitch dark for the fight. I was dreading file corruption for a minute.

Astel was easy (two tries!). I check now and then what's the suggested level whenever I get the sense the region should he harder than it feels, but I'm always more or less within the expected range.

The snowy bit is the first time in a while that regular enemies feel tough though.

I'm not feeling it post Leyndell. There's always that moment in these games, about two thirds to three quarters of the way through, when you're told your princess is in another castle, and the excitement blows out a little. Like getting the Lordvessel in DS1 or entering Act 3 in Silksong.
