LMAO, there's another one!!! I love how it's not Halloween or anything; we're in the middle of Spring, and they're advertising breakfast cereal for children with cannibalism!
It's still hard to believe a modern country, with electricity, plumbing, Wi-Fi, etc. is able to so completely indoctrinate its populace and make them believe the shit that a quick glance out of any window should be able to disprove. I wish all of the North Koreans could be afforded the opportunity this young woman has, to get out and experience the world, find beauty in the truth they've been denied. Oh wait, our fucking president is a fucking demented psycho peddling lies that have turned my neighbors into hateful strangers on the daily; maybe I should wish for my own liberation from insanity sold as fact?
I guess so? The pre-Trump US wasn't exactly known for teaching its people about anything outside its borders/not involving it either.
People are fighting back (even when they have to deal with subtlety), and most people aren't going along with his shit anymore. Trump is an old fossil on borrowed time, but doesn't know when to give up and too much of a biatch to admit it.
There is truth to that, but I remember at least during the 2000s, schools in Michigan at least encourage their teachers and students themselves learn about the outside the US and the world around them. Especially during the age of the internet boom. I'm sure it was more than just us, but it was something noticeable around that time when I was growing up.
There is a stark difference to acknowledge here. Agreed, the US isn't necessarily comprehensive when it comes to educating ourselves on things beyond our borders, but we don't actively shelter ourselves from experiencing those things or overtly lie about them. We can get a passport and travel to any places that will have us and experience it for ourselves without having to literally and surreptitiously flee our country. We don't intentionally, broadly teach misinformation to demonize anyone. At least we didn't until our president insisted Haitian immigrants were eating house pets. Or that illegal immigration is the biggest problem facing our nation. Or than Iran was an immediate, nuclear threat after claiming only months prior that we'd set them back tot he nuclear stone age. Or that we weren't at war with Iran while actively and regularly exchanging fire with that country in a war WE started. Or claiming to champion the release of the Epstein files only to release UFO sighting files instead when the water got too hot and might implicate our president. Just saying, Trump is a level of corruption and dishonesty that far surpasses the typical corruption and dishonesty we accept from our politicians.
Ppl have lost sight of what it takes to be a field researcher, cast into the unkown so our future species may have a collective greater understanding among the grand chaos: Noble sacrifice of unsung heross for your grandkids' momentary comfort after thinking you surely ain't a total dumbass - for while their friends' parents stutter, stumble and chuckle in confusion at the unexpected torrent of mad queries, you answer calm and confidently everything, anything with either "hearts" or "darkness"
Not exactly, because someone other than him got hurt, but the evidence is stacking against him, and hopefully he can get his weapons license taken away.
I'm thinking about the poor driver of the vehicle that got jumped over.
IRL, wouldn't the jumper's suspension be done?
The commentary said "The driver tried to make a run for it after crashing", which implies they got out on foot due to their their car being undrivable, so more than just suspension.
