One could argue the value of your posts. Every shot of her has reduced facial features compared to the average in the book, which wasn't always consistent. She looks more childlike, as per modern expectations.

Still looks better than Stand Alone Complex, though. That early digital (with uneven budget) and slut leotard, yikes. Facial features were often even more diminutive there.

What a bizarre Fight Club change this one is. Why straighten out and fix up the decrepit old house? Why remove the background that made it look like a bad neighborhood? He's obsessed with making his old movies look sterile.

No, it's the opposite of what I thought. He warped the house and added the background. Worse than George Lucas because it's so hard to tell. With Lucas you knew what you were getting. The changes were obvious, while this is insidious.

Turns out the new Fight Club transfer also has frozen grain that sticks to people as they move, because Fincher hates grain as well and wants every movie to look like The Social Network onward.

Helena Bonham Carter was beautiful, even as a druggy. No need to apply this beauty filter to her, which misses the point of her character.

Like in Se7en, added fake clouds to real skies.
