He does quite a bit on BBC still, although much closer to home. Done a series on wildlife in people's gardens in the UK very recently. The Bristol Crack Fox has made a few appearances.

I dunno, while I will never watch it myself, seeing people like Tim Pool hyperventilate and shout at his cohosts over it is a form of entertainment in itself lol

Today I learned that for as fucked up as The Boys on Amazon is, the source material is... WAY worse. In my naivete, I'd assumed someone got their hands on some raunchy comic book fodder, and decided to adapt it to the screen for the novelty shock value. Nope; apparently someone got their hands on some raunchy comic book fodder and decided it could be adapted for the screen if they scaled it WAY back. A faithful adaptation would be rated "X" if not outright considered snuff.

I find it incredibly hard to believe the absolutely morally bankrupt characters I've seen on screen are in fact watered down versions of comic book characters who are worse by orders of magnitude.

Agreed. From what I now know, it seems like the show is a child recounting what they learned of the horrors of war from history books to a maimed vet who lived those horrors. I was curious to read them after following the show, but it's a hard pass for me now.

Funny that one of the most expensive states to live in is basically a powder keg of disaster. Flood, fires, breaking off into the Pacific, "come to California where gas is $7/gallon, rent is quadruple digits for a walk-in closet, and traffic makes the most menial commute a nightmare!"

Turn on your news apps and channels any time today and you'll easily find escalating genocide and unrestrained war crimes, mass suffering under increasing austerity and looming climate disaster, vast ultra wealthy pedo blackmail sex trafficking rings completely free of accountability with people involved at the highest rungs of power, LA music artists caught murdering their underage grooming victims after abandoning their dismemberment body in their Tesla who is they go off touring/partying, all being just a glint at the toppiest top of our dreaded Lovecraftian iceberg...logged and subsumed into the long-term memory banks before you can finish your coffee too! Darkest naval gazing yet indeed.

Something about the first impression of the channel's name and sub count of around 3 mil did legit feel like it was gonna do something to irritate like actually did a hesitate before clicking through, though was anticipating LLM slop or new age woowoo bollocks snuck in. So could've been worse I spose. -- constructive crit for the channel: there are so many other options to sex up your titles beyond darkest (is that a star trek movie title?) Thesaurus's are free and plentiful to access online, go fill ya boots son. And at least the elk in Hannibal season 1 makes sense and I can pretend to be smart now ahah!

I had a similar experience. Years ago, when I was enjoying a severance package that gave me 2.5 months off with full pay and benefits (basically a paid vacation,) I started frequenting a bar near my apartment. I was shooting a lot of pool, and flirting with a bar tender who worked there. One night, she finally asked me out, but wanted to go to another bar, y'know, not the one she worked at. We did, and she challenged me to a game of pool since she noticed I played all the time. I puffed my chest out, craned my neck to gain another inch or two of height over her, and accepted her challenge. She didn't completely smoke me, but I DEFINITELY lost, and I was trying my best after a turn or two when I realized she didn't need me to take it easy. What's worse, is I noticed she played left-handed; everything else she did right-handed. I asked after my ass-whooping, and she said her grandfather taught her to play when she was a kid, and HE was left-handed, so she just happened to learn to play pool left-handed. Not only was she better than me, she was better with her non-dominant hand.

She probably wanted to show off a little... but there was more to it than that, and I'm dumb enough that I didn't pick up on it until years later. Looking back on it, she really liked doing some kind of fairly strenuous activity during a date. Walks/jogs, rollerblading, tennis, just going to her gym... Nowadays I'm thinking she had a "thing" for getting sweaty on a date. Or maybe it was more like a "tactic." It was a good excuse for her, or I, or both to get naked (for a shower) right after a date. She had a tendency towards being a control freak... and she was really good at keeping me fairly compliant.

I mean, TBF not that different to breast enhancement in overall concept, so not quite as wtf as it might first seem, but...I dunno, kinda makes you think all the hubbub about looksmaxing you see, hasn't that kinda been a thing for a portion of women for a long time anyway? I guess profiting off only 50% of the populations manufactured insecurities isn't enough. It's never enough.

I guess it's a big balls = virility = sexual prowess kind of thing. Also I have had a couple of women comment that they like a "pair of big juicy balls", or words to that effect. I mean, literally 2, but that's more than none.
