Pretty Infographics Explain The Math of Star Wars

All you need to know about Star Wars in handy infographic form.

The Star Wars universe is a rather huge and complicated place. With multiple films, TV series and books, it can be pretty hard to keep track of the little details making up our favorite galaxy far, far away. Thankfully, Oskoui+Oskoui [http://blog.oskoui-oskoui.com/], a full-service advertising agency, has stepped up to the plate with a series of infographics filled with all the important facts you need to understand the Star Wars universe.

If you've ever needed to know just how many limbs have been lost in the Skywalker family, or have trouble remembering the odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field, these infographics have you covered. My personal favorite is the infographic depicting the make up of the Imperial Navy's command structure, which is probably the most clever reference to Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy I've seen in recent memory.

Oskoui+Oskoui doesn't just handle infographics, however, and have dabbled in a variety of other artistic mediums, such as paperwork [http://blog.oskoui-oskoui.com/?p=3375].

Ok some of them made me chuckle like the lost limbs (man I'm so immature thinking that Lightsaber colour is a penis joke).
I'm getting a feeling that some hardcore fanboys out there want a "correct" version of the Sith population (mentioning some other Siths out there that we had never heard of since they only exist in the game and novels.

The limbs lost demographic was pretty funny especially seeing Darth Maul's torso in there. I also liked the Sith population one as well.

Okay there seem to be three extra legs and hands in the Skywalker limb pile. And an extra hand in both Other force users and people in Bars. Or are those from the extended universe?

And the Anikin Skywalker approval rating helmet didn't make much sense either.
There is only one hand I can't seem to fit. Luke lost one when he fought Vader, while Anakin lost four hands total. (1 to Dooku 2 to Obi Wan 1 to Luke) They propably included the expanded universe.

They forgot Dooku's head in the "Limbs Lost" graphic.
A head is not a limb

OT: These pictures were posted on their site September of last year... why is it making an article appearance now?

Doesn't he only lose one to Obi-Wan? Two legs and one hand.

Funny stuff, but what's so special about 1000 BBY?
I believe that's when Darth Bane implemented the "Rule of Two" [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rule_of_Two] - allowing there to only ever be two Sith at a time. A Master and an Apprentice, "One to embody power, the other to crave it."

Darth Bane may have been in power enough to invoke the rule, but it was Jedi Master/Lord Revan's idea.

OT: None of the images take into account the actual fiction of the Star Wars universe outside of the movies. In other words, all the good stuff is ignored, lol.

The style reminds me of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and when I read the infographs in the Narrator's [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbGNcoB2Y4I] tone of voice it became a lot funnier to me.

If they made a book like that for the Star Wars Universe, I would buy it.

While I do find these infographics funny, espicially the "limbs Lost" one (I also admit to chuckling at the speciesism one, not because it's funny in and of itself, but because they made the alien blue, and the fact that I got that joke. I'm such a nerd...), but I personally find the paperwork link in the article to be much funnier, especially the Boba Fett invoice.

Also http://www.blog.oskoui-oskoui.com/media/pdf/sw_medical_bill_form.pdf 95 billion for the freakin helmet? Gotta love when a medical company typo makes it look like your helmet costs more than a freakin fleet of star destroyers.
