Call of Duty: Black Ops II Confirmed for Wii U

Activision claims the GamePad controller will enhance Black Ops II's gameplay on the Wii U.

Among the games revealed for the Wii U during Nintendo's New York press conference was Call of Duty: Black Ops II. While this may not come as a huge surprise, Nintendo has confirmed the news with a live demo.

According to Activision, the Wii U version of the game will be "the full Call of Duty experience," with the GamePad controller enhancing that experience. One player can play on the television with a second using the GamePad, or gamers can just play alone using the GamePad to free up the television for something else.

The popular zombie mode will also make a return, and while details are currently scarce, Activision promises more information soon.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be available for the Wii U this November.

2 screens "splitscreen" multiplayer, 60FPS.
Isn't this like a confirmation that it's much stronger than the current gen?

Considering 'current gen' is running half-a-decade old hardware, that's really not an achievement...

I didn't mean to imply that it's an achievement.
I just wanted to point that out to people who are still saying how the WiiU is weaker than the 360.

I've never heard people implying it was weaker than the 360. Weaker than the PS3 on the other hand...that's much more commonplace to hear.

Meh. Good for those interested, and nice to see support from Activision (never thought I'd be saying that...), it might move a couple units, and those who get the console for other reasons might pick it up. Hell, if I do end up getting Blops 2, I might even get the WiiU version.

Like the TVii, I can see why they announced it (more for the investors and stockholders), but I still ain't excited for it, unlike the other bits of news from the conference.
