Be A Virtual Rock Star At Half the Price

Harmonix is having a huge half-price sale on more than 1100 tracks on the Rock Band Music Store.

To celebrate both the release of Rock Band Blitz and the looming fifth anniversary of the original Rock Band, Harmonix is gearing up for some serious price cuts in the Rock Band Store. Starting tomorrow and running through the week, the sale includes both individual tracks, which will go for 99 cents each, or their related albums and collections, which will also be available for half price.

That means you can score The Iron Maiden Pack 01 for $9.99 instead of the regular $19.99, the Judas Priest classic Screaming for Vengeance for $7.49, Rush's landmark Moving Pictures for $5.49 or the Lady Gaga Pack 01 for just $3.49. Everything from 3 Doors Down to Yngwie Malmsteen is up for grabs, although amazingly, nothing from The Scorpions is on sale, which utterly ruins my plan for at least two "like a hurricane" jokes.

There's not a whole lot more to say beyond "the music's cheap, so grab it if you want it," so I'll just cut to the chase. A full list of all the tracks on sale during the Rock Band Fifth Anniversary Sale (or whatever you want to call it), all of which are "immediately compatible" with Rock Band 3 and Rock Band Blitz, is available now in PDF format [http://www.rockband.com/content-assets/2012/09/RBDLCsaleGraphic.pdf], so check it out and get ready to rock! (But not, alas, like a hurricane.)

I find the fact that you would post this amusing because when I used to hang out on the rock band forums there was a person who had the same avatar as you there and he was like the Daystar Clarion of the RB forums

http://www.rockband.com/songs

There are currently 3,923 songs available in the rock band catalogue, all available either in the form of disc exports, track packs, DLC, and Rock Band Network songs (artists can self author and publish their own songs for sale)

There are 3 more songs coming next week as official DLC and who knows how many rock band network songs ( usually there's 5-10 new ones a week)

HMX has the record for most consecutive weeks of new DLC content for a game, with about 250 weeks of at least one but usually more new official DLC added.

OT: As someone who already has almost 800 songs in rock band, I think most of what I'd want is already bought, but I might pick up a few things from this. Mainly looking at the Tenacious D DLC and the Jimi Hendrix albums right now.

PLus, with a lot of stuff people would call crap, you'd have to deal with THAT GUY.

Hoping there's some stuff on sale I want.
