Latest Assassin's Creed III Trailer Highlights Connor's Journey

The latest trailer for Assassin's Creed III sheds some light on Connor's pre-Assassin days.

The last few games in the Assassin's Creed series focused on Florentine nobleman Ezio Auditore, but Assassin's Creed III will begin a new chapter, in which a new Assassin of Native American and English descent fights the Templars on American soil during the Revolutionary War. In this trailer, we get a few glimpses of Connor's journey from helpless child to skilled Assassin.

Connor's quest for justice is what drives him to join the Assassins, but before long he becomes involved "in something much greater." In addition to Connor's backstory, we get a look at some pretty varied battlefields in "An Assassin's Journey," including one at sea.

With less than a month to go, we're now in the home stretch leading up to Assassin's Creed III's October 30 release. Connor's full story will be revealed when it comes out for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and eventually the Wii U.

so excited for AC3 :D recently jumped back into Revelations to get back into the AC mode, and found myself jumping at forked trees several times only to bounce off ungracefully :p won't have that issue in 3

"I wish to avenge the men that murdered my tribe."
"Ah well, then you have to kill redcoats exclusively!"
"Wait, what? Americans killed my people, not Brit-"
"Nope, nope. Just go kill redcoats and help the persecutors of your race to gain freedom from their evil tyrannical rulers!"
"Oh. Kay then."

PS:
I did notice one blue-coat getting axed, but this was like the first in every gameplay or cinematic trailer they've made... Yeeaah.

I want you to be honest with me for a second.

How often do you think a blue coat is going to be a town guard in the game? Not a target, just a town guard.

OT: Looks awesome. Can't wait to play it.

All of these trailers, at least one new one a week... and I don't give a damn about this game. It defies reason. I should be pumped.

1) No, it wasn't the first. They've shown Patriots being killed in two other trailers as well.

2) Listen to dialogue near the end of the trailer. Draw conclusions.

3) Even if points 1 and 2 don't sway you... *ahem* Get. The fuck. Over it. Already!

as to the lack of dead blues, im sure they would rather have you people bitching about that, rather than the rednecks bitching about the other thing.

or maybe they just dont want part of their american ad campaign to feature your fore-fathers being butchered during and election period.

but i think a lot of parallels can be drawn between this and the whole not being able to kill kids in skyrim thing, in that it doesn't need to be there, and if it was, it might cause some sensitive people to butt clench, so why bother taking the risk.

Huh...a lot of Americans getting killed was cut from the American trailer...I actually feel kind of insulted.

I remember when games gave you all the story and the backstory IN THE GAME YOU BOUGHT -_-. You can't keep disguising exposition as a prerendered trailer with no gameplay as anything other than "we can't write backstory in an interesting way anymore".

Same here, except it sadly might be needed. Given how badly certain....people here in the US react to anything with even the possibility of a hint of anti-US sentiment.

Ugh. Really not liking Conner's voice actor.
I agree, he sounds so... wooden, when compared to Ezio's smooth tones. Nowhere near as bad as Altair in the first game, but I still hope it sound better in the actual game.

Other than that though, psyched!

Well, there's nothing stopping me from stabbing endless amounts of bluecoats in the actual game... :3
