In The Event of Zombie Apocalypse, Use This Kit

A design student in Syracuse, New York, has come up with a safety kit that should be in every home.

There are many ways of dealing with zombies: shoot them in the head, chop them up and incinerate them [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wylpeAXYcBQ], set peashooters in the garden to pop 'em before they can get across the yard, and so on. However student Sam Proctor of Syracuse University has come up with a useful CDC kit in the event things go pear-shaped.

Proctor's a design addict who wants to become a creative director one of these days. The CDC Kit isn't the only thing he's been working on [http://www.behance.net/samproctor], but it's the only one that might actually save your brains when the zombies come knocking on your door.

The full kit contains four handy brochures, a flare gun, ID cards, a respirator, and a letter from the head of the CDC. I'm sure that letter will be of great comfort in the end times. To my knowledge Proctor isn't offering this for sale, but you never know what might happen if he gets enough interest!

Huh, this is... Kinda cool... But other than the brochures and letters, I really don't see how it relates directly to zombies. I mean, wheres the machete and carbine?

The other stuff could be used in pretty much any type of emergency situation

I want this kit. I don't care how illegal flare guns are in Australia, I shall get this kit.

A flare gun and some brochures?

...

I'll take my chances by following my Survival Guide [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Zombie_Survival_Guide]'s instructions.

Max Brook obviously forgot to mention the effectiveness of paper cuts on zombies.

Anyway I might just buy this for the flare gun and respirator because...reasons...

Anyone who's seen bite me will tell you how useful a flare gun will be in a zombie attack.

I don't see the most crucial item for a zombie apocalypse: full set of chainmail. If sharks can't bite through it, zombies don't stand a chance. Simply laugh as they gnaw on your metal barrier.

Only problem is if they swarm you. That stuff is heeeavy, so if you fall over, even if you are fully protected, you may have trouble getting back up.

OT: Cool little pack, and his other things he has designed are actually really quite clever. Props to him, I hope he does well.

just a small note, but anybody who has played urban dead (and i hope that you have stopped playing it by now) knows that all the flaregun really does is attract even more zombies to where you fired it
