I like it somewhat....... lots of clever little details and references in it too, but you have to pay attention which can be tricky.

I love the distinct synth pop 80s Drive feeling throughout this game.

This game is honestly one of my GOTY contenders. I thing about the review though. Calling this game a shooter is just wrong. Its not a shooter in the same sense that Metal Slug isn't a shooter. It's Hotline Miami. It's an arcade murder action game. And its damn fun to play.

Move from room to room from a top-down angle, shooting in a circle around you, taking down enemies in disturbing fashion, and picking up treasures that give passive upgrades to your abilities? Binding of Issac: Vice City? Alright, I'm done putting off buying this game.

Use firearms as infrequently as you can. Melee weapons/attacks are the best way to get the highest score.

Also they give you the pleasure of burning someone's face off with boiling soup.

Yeah, Hotline Miami made me accept my inner psychopathic killer.

Do it. Listen, he is not lying, the soundtrack is amazing.

It's like chasing a butterfly through a neon desert or slitting you wrists to find you bleed pulsating rainbows...

Oh, and the game is really rather great too...

Looks like Manhunt meets GTA Vice City, stuck in the graphics and perspective of GTA 1.

Oh did I ever try that. R. restart, restart, restart, shot in the face. Dammit, I'm picking this shotgun up and blowing that dude away for making me do this room so many times! Note to those who haven't tried this: you will die. A lot. Success relies on figuring out enemy location, the range at which they decide to charge at you full speed, and carrying out a plan based on what you've learned. Damn fun game though, despite being pretty lo-fi and rough around the edges (more than likely on purpose).

EDIT: I plan on maximizing my high scores once I beat it and have a full feel for the mechanics and stuff, and it'll give me a reason to re-play it.

Seems like the visuals of Vice City with the violence of Manhunt. Would like to try this sometime!

Looks alot like Crackdown (the old one, not the xbox game), but that might just be because of the crime theme.

I remember the exact moment I realized I was never going to play this game. I was watching the masks trailer, and I saw the demonstration of drill kills. Nope, nope, nope.

(I might watch a Let's Play of it. Maybe. Possibly. Perhaps.)

Fantastic game, although it should have a leaderboard for speedruns. (Wierdly enough steam says it has a leaderboard, but it does not)
