BioShock PS3 Extra Only Available in US

PS3 BioShock: Infinite fans will get the 2007 original bundled with their game.

If you were paying close attention to the PS3 BioShock: Infinite [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/trailers/6439-BioShock-Infinite-Beast-of-America-Trailer] box art reveal, then you'll have noticed that the original BioShock is bundled in with your Infinite purchase. If you want it, best relocate to the US, as this promotion is only available in North America.

"I can confirm that the PS3 version of BioShock: Infinite in North America contains a copy of the original BioShock," said a 2K spokesman. It's not clear whether PS3 owners elsewhere will get any equivalent deal.

BioShock: Infinite, the story of a former Pinkerton trapped in a floating city with a wonder-working woman, is getting a gameplay reveal at the VGA Awards; a brief teaser can be had here. [http://www.spike.com/events/video-game-awards/world-premieres-trailers/cepdv7] You haven't that long to wait for the game; it's due for release for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in February 2013.

Free stuff is always nice but this...I find odd. I don't think infinite really has anything in common with the original other than the word "Bioshock" so I don't see a huge perk to tossing in the first one. I still need to play #2. I've had it for almost a year but keep getting distracted by other games.

No, you really don't. Just play 1 again.

Side-note, any word on if it's going to be on the 360 one as well? I'd rather pick it up for the 360, but if I'm getting a second game on the PS3 one.....

To be honest you are not missing much. Bioshock 2 is half the left of the first game and with a pretty poor story. The only thing really good about it is that the duel wielding makes combat a lot more fluid and enjoyable.

Number 2 was okay, I really liked Eleanor as a character and im guessing the writers of number 3 did too as she and Elizabeth (im aware that the writers of 2 may have taken the idea from 3's concept) seem quite similar and Sinclair was one swath mofo but Sofia... she nearly killed that games story for me. The fact they tried to put her on the same podium as Ryan was stupid as it just showed how thick she was... HER VOICE WAS LIKE NAILS!!!

Surely you do know thta North America isn't comprised of only the US
So make up your mind- is it exclusive to North America, or to the US, as you have mentioned both between the title and the article....

That's incredibly unfair!

Play Bioshock again while playing that god awful "Friday" song to drown out the good dialogue, interesting plot and clever themes and you've got something far closer to the experience of Bioshock II.

So ya like someone else said, is this US specific or for all of NA. Most of the time when things are US only they are in Canada too, but sometimes they really are US specific.

Also Escapist staff, NA isn't just the US. We children of the North forgive you.

It's nice to know that North America is only the United States. By that contrast does that mean that Canadians are closet americans or does it just mean that we don't exist at all? I always get confused about that.

So which is it, US or North America? Article says US quote says North America, which includes Canada.
