Killzone Footage Surfaces On Fallon's Late Night Show

Yeah, those Killzone: Shadow Fall air conditioners can be pretty scary, but you may not need to shoot them.

If you were wondering what Killzone: Shadow Fall [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/122267-The-Helghast-Come-Knocking-in-PS4s-Killzone-Shadow-Fall] was going to look like on release, wonder no more, for the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show has you covered. Yet another peek at the PS4 controller is quickly followed by some on-screen action, and while not entirely Clueless, it's clear Fallon and Anthony Anderson need some practice. Unless there was something about those aircon units that made them more dangerous than they looked.

Killzone, the game that hid in a shoebox [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/119899-Killzone-Assets-Were-Kept-in-a-Shoebox] for a few years while waiting for its HD rediscovery, is a post-nuclear apocalypse shooter series, and the Shadow Fall installment is set about 30 years after the previous game. You fight for the Vektan against the Helghast - ie. those fellas with the pumpkinhead eyes. Herman Hulst has called it a throwback to the Cold War, with both factions fighting for survival as they seek a new home.

This one's going to be a PS4 launch title, which presumably means a Christmas release [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/122272-PlayStation-4-Confirmed-for-Holiday-2013-Release].

Well it there were no titles I'd say this is Crysis, and many people do like that sort of thing so yay for them.

No yays for that show however, that was an awful attempt at acting excited.

Well, what better way to show off the game? Disprove it's an off screen play by giving it to Fallon. I had a laugh at how bad they were, heh.

Cool to hear that it'll be able to render more shit at the same time, hopefully that means the end of game like Medal of Honor: Doorfighter where you spend 70% of your time in tight little corridors and the outside is just a bunch of walled in groves.

At least this should disprove anyone claiming the demo was pre rendered, the hosts were so terrible though

No, it is not a post apocalyptic series, and you fight for the ISA (Integrated Strategic Alliance). Vektans are the inhabitants of the planet Vekta, they aren't a government, they're a people.

The only apocalypse that happened was at the end of the third game, and that was on another planet. Vekta is a nice, green planet that used to belong to the Helghast before they were booted off to their hellhole planet from KZ2 and 3.

I had no idea Anthony Anderson was still a relevant black Comedian. I didn't even recognize him until he started screaming.
