Void Walker's Arsenal: New Dishonored DLC Coming in May

The Void Walker's Arsenal DLC bundle will bestow all the gifts of the Outsider that you may have missed if you didn't preorder.

If you preordered Dishonored, odds are you received a bonus pack of coins, bone charms and other such goodies that make life as a supernatural assassin on the run a little bit easier. There was the Acrobatic Killer Pack, the Arcane Assassin Pack, the Backstreet Butcher Pack and the Shadow Rat Pack, each available from a different retailer, and like all good retailer-specific preorders, that meant one for free and three for never, a crushing blow to obsessive completionists.

But no longer! Or at least, no longer as of May 14, when the Void Walker's Arsenal collects all four preorder packs into a single DLC bundle. Behold!

Acrobatic Killer Pack

Bone Charm Bonuses:

Raven - Health Bonus for Drop-Down Assassination
Quick Dodge - Bolt/Arrow-Dodging Bonus
River Affinity - Increased Swimming Speed
Hagfish In-Game Statue that unlocks one additional slot for Bone Charm Bonuses
Unhidden Book entitled Rumors and Sightings: Daud
500 bonus coins

Arcane Assassin Pack

Bone Charm Bonuses:

Void Channel - Powers Duration/Damage Bonus
White Rat Friend - White Rats Not Hostile
Gutter Feast - White Rat Consumption for Mana
Whale In-Game Statue that unlocks one additional slot for Bone Charm Bonuses
Unhidden Book entitled Field Notes: The Journal of Granny Rags
500 bonus coins

Backstreet Butcher Pack

Bone Charm Bonuses:

Fencer - Sword vs. Sword Advantage Bonus
Blast Resistant - Reduced Explosion Damage Taken
Fire Water - Increased Whiskey Bottle Explosions
Wolfhound In-Game Statue that unlocks one additional slot for Bone Charm Bonuses
Unhidden Book entitled Early Life and Times: Slackjaw
500 bonus coins

Shadow Rat Pack

Bone Charm Bonuses:

Delicate Touch - Breaking Glass Noise Reduction
Voyeur - Keyhole Peeping Magnification
Deep Breather - Underwater Breathing Capacity Bonus
Golden Rat In-Game Statue that unlocks one additional slot for Bone Charm Bonuses
Unhidden Book entitled Field Notes: The Royal Spy
500 bonus coins

The pack will probably be of limited interest to anyone who's already completed Dishonored, although the books are fun to read and having the additional bone charm slots is certainly handy - and Bethesda clarified that each statue adds its own bone charm slot, so four statues means four extra bone charms, which is a pretty powerful upgrade. It's much more compelling for gamers who haven't yet taken a trip through Dunwall and won't have access to any of this content otherwise.

The Void Walker's Arsenal DLC for Dishonored will sell for $3.99 on Steam and the PlayStation Network, and 320 Microsoft points on Xbox Live, and arrives on May 14.

It's nice that they made it available, but why would anyone want to make the already pretty tame (in difficulty terms) Dishonored much, much easier by utilising *all* of these?

I liked this idea when Fallout: New Vegas did it, and this has the added bonus of increasing your inventory space instead of taking up over a third of it like Courier's Stash did.

It might be fun to try out different combination of bone charms to see how they mesh. Still not worth it in my eyes.

Have to say, I thoroughly disliked what they did with preorders, offering all these different things and no way to have all of it short of buying it four times. Further, it sucks a little for those who did preorder that their exclusives are now no longer exclusive.

Saying that, the price is low and with everything included, it offers a handful of new options for different playthrus. I'm tempted by, but never tried, a rats specialist playthru. Trouble being that it is only useful for the high chaos/evil ending. Well...maybe a rats/possession thing could work?

One main gripe I have with Dishonored, is the inability to swap out Corvo's right-hand weapon. Sure the sword looks cool, but it serves zero purpose on a non-lethal playstyle (kinda the main style really). Really silly design decision, or oversight and caused a lot of frustration.

I don't think it would be *that* much easier. Nothing in the list is gamebreaking...hold breath longer? Swim faster? Further, I believe only one bonus Bone Charm slot is unlocked, even with all four statues. It may be that even that slot is incorporated into the existing max once they begin unlocking in-game. If it gives 4 slots in addition to the existing allowance, then you're right though, it would make things pretty easy.
