Phoenix Wright HD Gets All Touchy-Feely May 30th

No objections here as the Ace Attorney Trilogy HD remake hits iOS.

Last August, Capcom excitedly announced that its popular legal adventure series Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney [a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/119358-Phoenix-Wright-Doesnt-Object-to-a-HD-iOS-Port]was getting an HD re-release[/a] on the iPad. The fall release date came and went, and the sobs of fans carried throughout the cold winter. Now that the snows have thawed, Capcom has returned, bearing the promise of Phoenix Wright HD, for real this time. No really, they have a release date and everything now! [a href=http://www.capcom-unity.com/xantista/blog/2013/05/23/phoenix-wright-ace-attorney-trilogy-hd-coming-to-ios-may-30th]Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD[/a] will finally hit iOS devices May 30th.

Your first experience with Phoenix Wright was likely on a Nintendo DS. However that version was actually a port from the original 2001 Gameboy Advanced release. That's right, the first Phoenix Wright is more than a decade old. While the DS release was upgraded with touchscreen controls and an additional episode, the GBA-era graphics remained. Now, that ancient artwork has been cleaned up by the finest pixel archeologists and prepared for the iPad's high-res Retina screen. [a href=http://www.capcom-unity.com/xantista/go/gallery/item/143435057?pref_tab=photos&pn=4&type=photo]Here's a sampling[/a] of just how much Capcom has cleaned up it up. Along with prettier pictures, it also includes the new "Everybody Object" mode, which lets you send the famous Phoenix Wright interjection to friends and families.

Phoenix Wright Trilogy HD will include Ace Attorney, Justice For All, and Trials and Tribulations. Just like a pusher on the street, your first two episodes are free. $5.99 will get you the rest of the first game, while the other two are $6.99 a piece. Alternatively, you can just get the entire package for $16.99 and save a few bucks.

If Capcom brings this to Android then I will buy this so hard, the person who manages to pry my credit card out of my phone will be crowned the king of pancakes.

So basically an oficial version of the phoenix wright objection generator? [http://objection.mrdictionary.net/index.php] Because that can get annoying.

I'll believe it when I see it. I played the first phoenix wright on my iphone and fuckin loved it. They have been ported in japan for like 3 years so I was waiting for an announcement and it finally came like, a year and a half ago and has been delayed with no warning or explanation like 3 times since. Just the second game alone sells for around 100 dollars on ebay, and frankly id much rather have it on my phone that I'm going to carry around all the time anyways rather than having to make the choice of bringing my ds with me anyways. I'm cautious to be excited, but I'll be stoked if it actually happens.

I'm totally cool with Capcom putting Phoenix Wright on as many platforms as possible. And considering I sold the original trilogy, I'm looking forward to buy those again and relive the magic and sillyness another time.

And chill out everyone, they are still working on a new Ace Attorney for the 3ds. It's a bit soon to be all up in arms about it, especially since you can still play the DS versions of the Ace Attorney games on your 3ds.

Smart of Capcom to give the heart-rendering murder of Mia Fey for free because that was the case that really hooked me on that game.

Still kinda sad that the trilogy won't come out on the 3DS because I only have actual apples in my house but oh well, I just recently replayed all of them so I had my Phoenix fix for now.

Man, I remember when my brand new 3GS was the hypest shit around, running games like Chaos Rings and Infinity Blade. And Phoenix Wright, obviously. Three years I waited for this, and now I'd bet good money that 3GS isn't supported. If anyone wants to take that bet, I'll use my winnings to buy a new phone, and Phoenix Wright HD.
