Eeeeyup, count me as one of those "really excited" to get my hands on those nasty little buggers known as Slivers. I used to have a VICIOUS five-color sliver deck that just pissed all my friends off every time I brought it out. >and a Red, White, and Green Sliver deck. Oh, yeah, there's a Sliver deck, chock full of M14's latest addition to the sliver family. This is probably only exciting for a small subsection of the players out there, but it is really exciting for them.
From what I've seen so far, you get a free Sealed Set to begin with (six free sealed packs to make your deck) with 3 additional packs unlocked in the sealed campaign. I had thought that I heard you get two free sealed-deck slots, but apparently you just get one and have to microtransaction for more.Fappy said:Not so sure I am a fan of getting random card pools for micro-transactions. Couldn't they offer virtual booster packs we could use to build custom constructed decks? I think post Magic players would prefer that.
That sounds a bit better. Way back when I used to play Magic the store I went to used to do 3-pack sealed draft tournaments, so I imagine having x3 as many cards to pick from will yield better decks. Draft decks should never be used in constructed play XDRJ 17 said:Eeeeyup, count me as one of those "really excited" to get my hands on those nasty little buggers known as Slivers. In other news, the Eldrazi have returned! Rather than being a "big beastie" deck that just happened to have a couple Eldrazi in it (i.e. the Ancient Depths deck in 2012), it's going to be a right-proper Eldrazi deck. Sadly, though, it won't have any of The Big Three (Ulamogg, Kozalek, or what's-his-face...the guy that can't be countered, has protection from colored spells, and gives you a free turn when you summon him). Instead it has a good handful of the smaller Eldrazi and one of my favorite enchantments in the game; Eldrazi Conscription (enchanted creature gets +10/+10 and has Annihilator 2).
Now if they'd only bring in a ninja/samurai deck from the Kamigawa expansion.......well.......suffice to say I'd need a clean pair of shorts...
Beyond that, anyone wanting to get look at the 10 decks that will be available, they've been posted on the MTG forums here:

I used to love going to draft tournies...until the shop that I went to changed management and the new management was a bunch of dicks. xPFappy said:That sounds a bit better. I'm willing to bet that on PC you can get a new sealed pack by... misplacing... your save file.Fappy said:Not so sure I am a fan of getting random card pools for micro-transactions. I'm willing to bet they're going to store that kind of data server-side >.>Falterfire said:I'm willing to bet that on PC you can get a new sealed pack by... misplacing... your save file.Fappy said:Not so sure I am a fan of getting random card pools for micro-transactions. I'd agree with you, but I don't think the game requires an internet connection of any sort to play after the initial download.Fappy said:I'm willing to bet they're going to store that kind of data server-side >.>
One can dream, however!
You could be right. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.Falterfire said:I'd agree with you, but I don't think the game requires an internet connection of any sort to play after the initial download.Fappy said:I'm willing to bet they're going to store that kind of data server-side >.>
