Batman: Arkham Origins Will Get Stylish With Mad Hatter

Thanks to an Official Xbox Magazine reveal, we know a little more about one of Batman's enemies.

Batman: Arkham Origins features a host of villains both familiar and otherwise [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/126116-Arkham-Origins-Introduces-Female-Version-of-Copperhead], all of them gunning for Batman, mostly at Black Mask's behest. However there's always time for a new character reveal, and this one comes courtesy of the Official Xbox Magazine, whose article was thoughtfully captured, in Photobucket form, and plastered up on the internet for all to see. We don't know exactly what this villain's deal is, but we know who he is: Jervis Tetch, aka The Mad Hatter, obsessive-delusional Carroll enthusiast with a yen for Batman's cowl.

When last seen, in Arkham City [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/miracle-of-sound/5286-Jokers-Song-Batman-Arkham-City], Tetch was more of a sideline than an actual threat. His psychoactive drugs made his sequence one of the more colorful fight scenes, but fight scene was pretty much all it was. He also had a very brief look-in, if you were collecting all the Riddler trophies, in Arkham Asylum. We'll almost certainly be getting a more in-depth reveal soon, so if you're wondering what the Hatter's up to this time, keep in touch. Until then, speculate! It does a body good.

Batman: Arkham Origins is due for PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360 and PC in October 2013.

I speculate that he will patiently await his allotted turn like a good little supervillain, attempt to capture the bat with an overly-complicated master plan and then be put right back in the Big Box O' Villains when aforementioned hero punches his way out of the predicament.

Which Hatter will turn up? The Secret Six psychic Mad Hatter who single-handedly destroyed the Doom Patrol until he was contained by his team mates, or the Silver Age buffoon? Either way he looks way too tall.

I actually loved his Side mission in AC, he did the best to fill the Scarecrow-y void in my Heart.

He looks tall because he's being held in the air by his neck, he was shown in Arkham City as being rather short.

It also wouldn't matter which version since The Mad Hatter is retarded regardless. I really loathe the character, I cannot fathom why writers continue to use him.

Oh right, the Mad Hatter, one of the absolute worst Batman villains
Just wait, we haven't heard if Crazy Quilt will be in the game yet.

Crazy Quilt might at least be intimidating if you're colour-blind. Hatter sucks no matter what.

Because you can do a lot with hypnosis and mind control, simple.
So many better characters to do it with, a fair few of them are even in Batman's rogues gallery. Poison Ivy for example.

Aw, man. I thought for sure that you were going to say that they put hats in the game. Well, now I'm no longer interested in it.

Awesome. He was so underused in Arkham City I felt cheated.

I feel they can do interesting things with the Hatter, and I hope they look to Batman TAS episode "Perchance to Dream" and "For The Man Who Has Everything" for inspiration.

You're joking right? What we really need is obviously

Kite man!

Believe or not, this guy actually gave batman a run for his money. He got batman captured, fooled, stole a ruby right in front of him and Robing and then instead of escaping he punched the bat right in the face! Because he CAN!

I don't even know how he can take off with balls that massive!

Poison Ivy is kind of hard to put in though cause she's one of the few Batman villains that doesn't actually care about Batman. She's perfectly happy to just hole up somewhere and grow her plants while everyone else fights.

Calculator actually got revamped after one of the big Crisis events DC had (can't remember which one). He's now Oracle's evil counterpart - an info broker for the super villains. He's not a joke anymore

Awesome I love him as a villain he's one of my favourites :D
Something about the absolute creepiness of his pedophilic undertones that makes you disgusted contrasted with the fact that he's so far gone that he doesn't understand what he's doing making you feel sorry for him makes him so interesting ^_^
