"Hmm... Actually the bones look fairly recent. As well, the DNA testing indicates a close genetic relationship between yourself and their previous owner. Where are these from again?"

"Uh, Cu, Cubone." *backs out of room*

Haha I went here to make a similar comment but you had beat me to it. Seriously though his friend must be a bit slow, you don't look for archaeologists in clubs.

While the pokemon joke is great, I was really hoping this would be about one my favorite Lucasarts adventure games from back when.

Awwwww...poor Cubone....or is that a Marowak? I'm not a big enough Pokémon junkie to tell the difference. :p

I like these short, sweet, and to the point joke strips. No deeper message to worry about, really easy to get, just a set-up, a delivery, and a punchline. Nice and simple. :3

Wait, there is suddenly a guy who can also see video game characters in this comic...? Did anyone tell Erin about this?
...
I smell wacky romcom hijinks in the near future. :D

It's a Cubone. Jeez, the poor little fella is so messed up he wears his dead Mother's skull as a hat. Who knows where that other bone came from?! I bet Erin will feel like a proper cow when she finds out.

Here was me hoping this was going to reference an old Lucasarts adventure game.

edit: Ok beaten, but my point stands. Throw us old dinosaurs a bone, I haven't worked since the dawn of time either.

aw, poor Cubone. Maybe next time the fellow will bring his Pokémon with him or at least a picture of the bone with a pen next to it :p

These short strips are unexpected yet cute/clever.

Critical Miss combined with my favourite Pokémon (I haven't played any since the original Silver), today is a good day. Poor little critter, but then again women don't tend to like guys with mummy issues.

Although I enjoy those types, I find these ones a lot funnier. Cory can do some really funny expressions on characters.

Erin frequently lacks shame. Plus, it's a video game character.

Yeah, nobody likes intelligent strips. Dick and fart jokes are where it's at.

Poor Cubone, I think someone needs a hug

OT: This is why I love Critical Miss, I love smart and witty humour

Never said I didn't like the intelligent ones. Those three strips regarding videogame discussions were perhaps the most brilliant and desperately needed webcomic strips I've ever read. Just saying there's nothing wrong with taking a break from all that every now and then for a simple one-off joke.

Edited to fix the broken image.

I feel his pain. I never get anyone to come to the parties in a small club in my town, called "My Pants".

He also might want a paleontologist not an archeologist.

Damn, Cubone just can't catch a break. Next time I play a game where I can, I'm gonna catch and train one out of sympathy.
