I like the fact that most of those are done in basic original blocks. It feels like there's too many bespoke Lego blocks these days that help make their model look fantastic, but are really only useful for that one intended model. Hell I can remember when the line of Pirate Lego was introduced and how many of those blocks (or the sails or what-have-you) looked to be only useful for the one intended thing.

Damn that makes me sound like an old fart.

That Death Star one is an actual kit, so that doesn't really count, but I do always like seeing people build amazing Lego stuff. :)

Loved the Firefly and Futurama ones. I can't imagine having the time and patience to build those.

and the space, New New York looked kinda big. I'm one of those people with basic lego skills, long white block is the spaceship hull, short red is an engine.

I honestly think this title is somewhat misleading. When I see the word creative, I tend to think original content and not a LEGO version of pop culture characters/ships/etc... I do like these models, though. They're pretty well done and some of the methods used to create models within the constraints of LEGO are pretty damn good.

I agree. Still, the Futurama one was impressive somewhat.

I'd like to see original creations that are somewhat playable, as in it must make sense for LEGO figures in scale (at least, it must be big enough in order to fit a figure in where it makes sense) and it must be somewhat openable when it makes sense.

Sometimes, I believe I was a Super Saiya-LEGO-Jin back in my pre-teens. The stuff I made...
