Indie Royale's Golden Jubilee Bundle is Live

A bundle of six indie games is about $2, but Indie Royale newsletter subscribers can get them for free.

The Indie Royale bundles are one of the several game bundle packs where you can choose how much you want to pay. The most recent Indie Royale bundle is called the Golden Jubilee and includes Ballads of Reemus: When the Bed Bites, Star Hammer Tactics, Akaneiro: Demon Hunters, Bird Assassin, Amazing Zombie Defense, Zombie Football Carnage.

All six games are available for Windows and Desura, a digital distribution platform for Windows, Mac OSx, and Linux. Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is also available on Mac OSX and as a download from the website, as well as being able to play in a web browser.

Ballads of Reemus: When the Bed Bites is a "funny and outlandish" game where Reemus the insect exterminator and his companion Liam the purple bear travel and fight together. Star Hammer Tactics relies more on strategy as the player fights in turn-based battles while controlling a fleet. The Japanese ink, water color, and wood-block illustration-inspired Akaneiro: Demon Hunters mixes the folklore of Japan with Red Riding Hood. Bird Assassin is all about you getting revenge for the birds who killed your father. Amazing Zombie Defense is what it sounds like: defending a tower from hordes of zombies and is "aimed at hardcore gamers." The other not really sports-oriented zombie game Zombie Football Carnage involves a football player fighting through the undead.

The current minimum price of the Golden Jubilee bundle is $2, but it is available for free for subscribers to Indie Royale's newsletter. To receive a download of CoLD SToRAGE's Tik Tak album, pay $5 or more for the bundle. The bundle is available for one more day.

I couldn't care less about the other games but that Akaneiro: Demon Hunters looks beautiful.

Wow, all we're missing is:
Amazing Zombie circus!
Cooking Zombie
Zombie Olympic Games

God, the indi scene has gotten just as bad as the triple A department. If everyone really agreed to recycle one thing in video games this gen, why did it have to be the most boring baddie ever? Are 'Zombies' really as far as imaginations stretch these days?
