Nintendo Confirms Zelda 3DS XL Is Coming to US

First seen for the US in a leaked GameStop advertisement, Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed the bundle will come to the US.

Gold is the standard for Legend of Zelda. Producer Eiji Aonuma spoke in a video announcing that the gold 3DS XL marked by the triforce for the Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds bundle will release for the US on Nov. 22 for $219.99.

Nintendo announced previously that the limited edition 3DS XL A leaked GameStop advertisement [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/128717-Zelda-Themed-Limited-Edition-3DS-XL-Headed-to-Europe] showed a Black Friday ad for the same Zelda 3DS XL. GameStop stated the leak that the ad was legitimate, but Nintendo still did not say anything on the matter until today when the company posted the announcement on YouTube.

"I am grateful for the fans supporting Zelda over the years," Aonuma said in the video announcement. "Please enjoy Link's new adventure with the gold system."

The limited edition 3DS XL comes with a download code for A Link Between Worlds and launches on the same day as the game's release. The system is gold on one side with the triforce and black on the other.

This is just the latest in Nintendo's many limited editions for the 3DS. From Fire Emblem to Animal Crossing to Pokemon, Nintendo loves to give people pretty reasons to buy the handheld system.

It's times like these that I wish I had gone into one of the better paying careers, like taxidermy or corporate espionage.

Also...very much wants even though it's just a new paint job and my 3DS XL is perfectly sufficient.

Now, I will be getting this but I jope I enjoy it, I seem to be getting awfully picky with my handheld's colours. Let me explain, I HAD a 3DS last year, Pearl Pink, was always so indecisive about keeping it because of the colour so I did eventually take it back. Plus I only had one game for it, now the 3DS I want is the purple one but I'd prefer an XL version of it. I hope this one isn't an eye sore.

I keep telling myself, "I don't need a 3DS, howmany games on it do you really want to play?" But that Triforce 3DS is making it really hard to not scream out, "Shut up and take my money"...

If I did end up buying this... it would most definitely be just for the 3DS, alone... I'll probably give the game code away, since I would much rather get a physical copy of the game instead...

But, hey... Who would NOT pass up on gold (especially if they do have enough rupees to spend on this)???

Guess if you prefer the original 3DS, you get no special editions.
I'm not sure how to break this to you, but...

OT: YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS...

Now all that's left is to punch that five year-old to secure the inevitable last one when I go to buy it.

This 3DS hasn't been available for a long time and was released before the XL. My point was that we don't get special edition 3DS OG's anymore.

Is it confirmed to be a code? I thought the special editions generally came with the game preinstalled?
It SHOULD be a code, not so it's sell-able but for those who want to system transfer to the new system. Silly 3DS not being account based...

It looks nice, but I already have my Pikachu XL and my launch black 3DS. So these just pass me by. Will almost certainly be picking up the game standalone though.
