Jamie Alexander Says Thor 3 is on The Way

The Dark World actress confirms Thor 3, while leaving a trail of bread crumbs leading to even bigger news.

Thor: The Dark World may not even be in theaters yet, but it looks like Marvel already has the sequel on their minds. Actress Jamie Alexander, who plays Sif in The Dark World, says that Marvel is planning to make Thor 3.

Speaking at a $100 million [http://www.forbes.com/sites/markhughes/2013/11/02/exclusive-jaimie-alexander-talks-thor-sequels-wonder-woman-and-batman-vs-superman/] during its international opening this weekend, that's about as close to official confirmation as you can get at this point.

Even if the movie hadn't done so well, Marvel Studios' apparently has almost a decade's worth of films [http://www.wired.com/underwire/2013/08/kevin-feige-marvel-dc-movies/] lined up, so the decision to make more Thor movies may have been made a long time ago.

At the same time, Alexander may score a much larger role in the DC movie universe, dropping hints that she may be in talks to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film.

Rumors that Wonder Women would make an appearance in the film began in September when a casting call [http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/09/25/wonder-woman-casting-call-batman-superman/] revealed the film was on the lookout for a strong woman between 25 and 33. Flash forward to Comicaze, where Alexander said she was in talks with Warner Bros. and DC. While some of links of the chain are more reliable than others, this could be pretty convincing if you're willing to take the leap.

For now, Thor: The Dark World opens in the US Friday, November 8.

For a second there I was excited about a "Sif and the Warriors 3" movie, but we got Wonder Woman teasers instead. Shucks.

So long as Thor 3 comes out better than Dark World, I'm ok with this. Dark World is ok, not great. I think I'd also be ok for Jamie Alexander to play Wonder Woman. She's got the look, at least. I guess.

Without wanting to give it away, based on things that happen in Thor 2, there is definitely going to be a Thor 3. Like, there is no chance that there will not be a Thor 3.

More importantly, Jamie Alexander as Wonder Woman? Yeah, that sounds good. You know what might be better? A WONDER WOMAN FILM.

I thought we already knew this? Hemsworth and Evens both signed contracts to do three Thor/Captain America movies each and three Avengers movies.

Dark World came out last week here in Australia and unless they plan to resolve some of what is revealed in Avengers 2, they definitely need to make another Thor.

I watched the panel and it's pretty tenuous at best to say Jaimie Alexander will be Wonder Woman. She said she had had talks with DC, she didn't elaborate on them in any way. Some of the other panelists suggested it but she said nothing.

Don't misunderstand, I think she would be a great Wonder Woman and I hope that they do cast her (assuming they are making one). Don't assume that they will though, for all we know she could be in Batman vs Superman or any other DC film.

I found the movie kinda average, but mostly due to not particularly liking the 'human' cast which seemed to occupy about half the film.
She however could make quite a good wonder woman as she seems to be able to show confidence and strength without appearing masculine.
Actually as far as female actors go, for me in thor 2 she was only second to thor's mum, who also did an excellent job.

Oh... So they didn't learn anything from Thor 1? The worst parts of that movie were... all the parts not paying attention to Thor and his family. Its the movie that got me to firmly believe in Yahtzee's "love stories" madness idea.

I was hoping that they'd take advantage of a story about a Norse God to... make a movie about a Norse God this time.

There's no way Warner Bros is capable of shoe-horning Wonder Woman into Batman v Superman in any kind of good way. It will be a miracle if the movie is even OK to decent.

Fixed.

It's been out nearly a week in England, so yes, it is in theatres. American cinemas aren't the only ones that matter...
