The Hobbit Gets Spoofed in Misty Mountains Rap

The Warp Zone has produced a Hobbit-inspired rap lampooning the new film trilogy.

Arguably one of the niftiest parts of the The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was the fact that it actually included music with vocal sections, something that The Lord of the Rings trilogy pretty much completely neglected to do in the theatrical releases despite the heavy presence of music in the books.

The Desolation of Smaug, sadly, failed to follow the first film's lead and wound up being another movie void of singing. Thankfully for those of us who enjoy the more musical elements of the novels, the gentleman at The Warp Zone have created a new take on The Misty Mountains that twists the <a href=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRUBe2RTq74>song of Dwarven tragedy into an amusing rap that pokes fun at the ongoing prequel trilogy.

Now granted, in terms of music, this is pretty much as far from the somber, orchestral style featured in An Unexpected Journey as you can get. To its credit, it does integrate the original song, but it's definitely its own beast. Even if that disappoints you though, the end product should be funny enough to make up for that. Sincerely, if you can watch this video all the way through and not laugh then we're going to go ahead and say that you're actually a member of some humorless alien race merely masquerading as human. If you aren't a vile space creature however, give it a watch and let us know your favorite moments.

Didn't Pippin sing to Denethor in Return of the King? Admittedly, the context was totally different from the books, where that same song appears fairly early in Fellowship, but it's not like there was no singing at all.

P.S. Thanks

The Warp Zone should just post all of their stuff here anyways(since they already do Drinking Games for Gamers)

They often make really neat videos(aside from DGfG)
