24: Live Another Day Super Bowl Trailer Kicks Off

Jack Bauer is back in 24: Live Another Day, and this Super Bowl promo spot shows us Bauer navigating the streets of London after an attack.

At this year's Super Bowl, Fox has released a promo trailer for 24: Live Another Day. In it, we see Kiefer Sutherland reprise his role as Jack Bauer where he's seen walking the chaos-filled streets of London with an injured Chloe O'Brian, which is one again played by Mary Lynn Rajskub. Aside from Jack helping Chloe -- who seems to be a goth now for some reason -- he's also seen shooting at unknown targets before screaming with rage. Unfortunately, Bauer doesn't say "Damnnit" or any of his trademarked 24 dialog.

24: Live Another Day is set four years after the events of Season 8, and while the show will still loosely adhere to the real time concept the show's know for by showing the events of a single day with each episode corresponding to an hour, it will be squeezed in to 12 episodes.

New additions to the cast include Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck) as an impulsive CIA operative in London named Kate Morgan, Benjamin Bratt (Miss Congeniality) as Steve Harris who heads the CIA operations team hunting Bauer, and English actor Stephen Fry (Blackadder) who will play the British Prime Minister, Trevor Davies.

Developed by 20th Century Fox, 24: Live Another Day will take out terrorists once more when it shoots out this coming May 5 with a two-hour premiere.

Which terrorist faction do you think Jack will stop this time? And will people finally listen to him before he snaps and goes commando on everyone yet again?

The show got absolutely stupid somewhere around season 3 or 4. It's a shame really, because I actually really liked the characters of Jack and Chloe (which I assume the producers assume everyone primarily liked the show for since they kept Chloe alive while everyone else around her and Jack died). It's hard to imagine this is going to be anything but stupid, honestly.

In a post-Breaking Bad world, it's just really hard for me to appreciate live-action drama.

Wow, I'm really excited, it looked awesome :D
Now I just need to finish season 5 and then watch 6, then 7, then 8, and also the film, before it starts... Good luck me :(
And I'm also impressed they managed to get Stephen Fry to play a role, that's really big-name talent!

Same. Seeing this makes me want to rewatch the series. :D I might marathon Season 1-6 just to further build up the hype. This new format might make the show better, too. It won't have to feature filler episodes just to complete the 24 hour format.

Agreed, by the end of season 4 it was getting kinda stupid, but still enjoyable, 5 and 6 were mediocre at best and 7 was pretty bad, but season 8 was a return to awesome form and i absolutely loved it.

Hopefully it stays as good as season 1-3 and season 8.

I'm pleasantly hopeful about this, though would have preferred the original 24 episode format.

What with I learned from seeing this, we're getting 24: International Counter-Terrorism. Jack and Chloe being on a Singapore street. So that's something, branching out of Los Angeles.

The hell was wrong with the sound of that pistol? It sounded so fake.

And why was Chloe looking straight at the camera the entire time, that was weird.

But I liked 24 so lets see how this goes.

And it's in London, my birthplace! Although the trailer showed a bit too stereotypical shades of London, It'll be really interesting to see.

Yeah, Season 7 was the black sheep of the bunch. Truth be told, I'm very excited for this. Kiefer was awesome as Bauer. Can you imagine this on HBO without censorship? Holy crap!

Well, I loved the last season of 24, when they killed off Walker and Jack finally lost his shit. So epic.

I would recommend skipping 6,7 & 8 and just read a synopsis. Or just finding the best eps from each of those and just watching them. 6 is just season 2 repeated, 7 is kinda all over the place, and 8 I just found sleep inducing.

I think they're using the same handgun sample sound from the TV series. Which was always a little wonky, but I'm not sure.

All I got out of the commercial was a reminder of how awesome a composer Zack Hemsey is.

Well...okay. I admit an ever so slight touch of intrigue about the show.

I thoroughly liked 24 for the first two seasons. However, it quickly turned into pure drivel.

Mayhaps this "reboot" can bring back a bit of the ol' flair.

I like Chloe's hair. I wonder if she's become a full field agent now. I've seen all of the 24 series and to be honest they all bleed into one after a while. After a decent length hiatus, I'm looking forward to a new 24.
