Come And Dive Bond Teaser Trailer is A Fake
Sony has confirmed that a teaser trailer and press release for the 24th Bond film released today is a fake.
A teaser trailer announcing the title of the next Bond film as Come And Dive and showing Bond standing stoically in a memorial cemetery, a mysterious woman, and an equally mysterious pier has been revealed as a fake. Text accompanying the trailer claims that in the 24th installment in the series, "Bond will be swept away by a dangerous love story. As MI6 rises from its ashes, 007 must protect a mysterious stranger and unveil long forgotten secrets." The teaser also gives the film an October 2015 release. The next Bond film is planned for a 2015 release [http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Next-James-Bond-Film-Begin-Shooting-October-41897.html], and is scheduled to begin shooting in October. The fact that shooting hasn't begun for the new film was the first hint that the trailer was not genuine. The trailer also features a theme tune, which is usually its own massive reveal. Sony's official sites and YouTube channel also make no mention of the teaser. TotalFilm Editor-In-Chief Jane Crowther reached out to Sony, and received confirmation that the teaser is indeed a fake. The teaser has now been removed from YouTube.

The real, as-yet-untitled Bond 24 will see Daniel Craig reprise his role as 007, with Ralph Fiennes as M and Naomie Harris as Moneypenny. Skyfall director Sam Mendes will direct, and screenwriter John Logan has signed on to write both the 24th and 25th films. Both films will be original stories, not based on existing works by Bond creator Ian Fleming. Speaking to Vulture [http://www.vulture.com/2013/08/rachel-weisz-and-daniel-craig-on-betrayal.html], Craig shared his feelings about the tone of the next movie. "Hopefully we'll reclaim some of the old irony, and make sure it doesn't become pastiche," says Craig. "I can't do shtick, I'm not very good at it. Unless it kind of suddenly makes sense. Does that make sense? I sometimes wish I hammed it up more, but I just can't do it very well, so I don't do it." I think that as long as tone isn't stoic-cemetery-plus-pier, I'll be happy.
