Game of Thrones Goes LEGO With Unofficial Minifigures

Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow, Daenerys and more are now available in minifigure form thanks to Citizen Brick's new Game of Thrones sets.

When I was but a young lad passing time in rural Canada, one of my favorite toys was a LEGO castle set that, for a good long time, was probably the coolest thing I owned. Granted, I was maybe 6 or 7 years old back then, so my grasp on coolness may have been a bit skewed. Even so, remembering the days I spent building it, destroying it in epic LEGO warfare and then rebuilding it just to destroy it again, it's hard for me to think of anything that could have made it better.

Leave it to the internet, of course, to prove me wrong. Because as much fun as I had with the official LEGO minifigures that came with my castle, I feel safe saying that <a href=http://citizenbrick.myshopify.com/products/dragon-sword-fighter-force-complete-series-plus-bonus-minifig>Citizen Brick's new set of unofficial Game of Thrones minis would have vastly improved my youthful battles. The new minifigures come in $55 sets of three and include Khaal Drogo, Daenerys, Meslisandre, Joffrey, Tyrion, Varric, Jon Snow, Ygritte, Jaime, Arya and Brienne. That said, customers who order all four sets at once will also receive a bonus minifigure based on Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin.

Granted, these minifigures are a tad on the prohibitively pricey side. Even so, I can't help but hope fans buy them in abundance. After all, if they sell well Citizen Brick might be convinced to adapt even more of the series', potentially leading to what I can only imagine would be the most gruesome LEGO brick dioramas ever made. Just admit it, you'd love to see a LEGO Red Wedding.

That's the understatement of the year. $55.00 for three figures, or the whole set for $220.00? That's insane beyond belief.

This seems like it fits pretty well. No no no, hear me out. Its really easy to chop off a lego man and put his head on a spike, so it fits GoT easily.

As someone who always has some lego in their room and likes Game of Thrones, these would be fun to have but Sir Typesalot? Surely it should be Ser Typesalot.

What on earth gave you the impression these minifigures were supposed to be from Game of Thrones? That's just silly! Clearly they are the Dragon Sword Fighter Force, with such original characters like T. Ryan Lancer, Joe Frozen-Vapor, and Danny Rice the Mother of Grain Products.

..... Anyway, I'm a little sad that there's no Hound or Bran lego (or Hodor! Why the hell is there no Hodor minifigure?!), but you get what you get.

Also, best part of the description on the web page: Winter is Coming ? Bring a Sweater!
