Personally Al pacino is held back a little by the fact that he has a distinct acting style. All you really get with him is al pacino playing different roles. This makes him second best to de niro. De niro disappears when he is in character and it is replaced by a completely different person. This allows de niro to convey that much more and it drags the viewer in that much.

having said all of that pacino is undoubtedly brilliant and unlike de niro has not done too many bad films like "meet the fockers".

Very glad to see Ricky Roma in there over Scent of a Woman or Devil's Advocate. I would of included Looking for Richard, but I'm elitist like that...
