I seriously love epic rap battles. This was not the best I've seen, but that's not saying it was not entertaining. Great work.

Nooo... I'm sick of these. Goku is a great character and I love it. It's horrible to see him getting beat by the laziest character ever written: super some-guy. He has super this, and super that, and he's super intelligent, and super charming and can destroy galaxies with a fart... So unless Goku has a pair of kryptonite brass knuckles, I know how it ends. A well defined character is beaten by the limitless and obtuse qualifying adjective of "super".

Yes, I know Superman has been punched to death once. Sort of. It was a gimmick.

Goku would win hands down.

If it's a battle to the death, he'd ultimately destroy the sun and rob Superman of the source of his power. Even early DBZ Goku was capable of that already most likely. And yes, that would destroy the earth as well, but it wouldn't be the first planet that has to be saved by Dragon Balls...

Trust me, speaking as someone who's seen endless arguing about this particular issue, this isn't really something that either side could solve to the complete satisfaction of the other. There's simply too many assumptions. For example, someone who supported Superman could point out Goku can't survive in a vacuum, and that if it came to a battle to the death, Superman could always grab Goku and fly him up into high orbit- something that the source material would suggest he is strong and fast enough to pull off. But then the person who supports Goku would point out that Goku could just use instant transmission to get back to Earth. And the person who supports Superman would point out that Goku has had difficulty using instant transmission in cases of extreme stress, such as when he was being chased by a powerful energy blast. On. And on. And ON.

In the idea you put forward, it would likely be more a stalemate. Again, Superman can survive in a vacuum, and in the comics he is even capable of interstellar flight, under his own power, suggesting that just because a yellow sun vanishes, doesn't mean he automatically loses his power. (otherwise he wouldn't be able to so much as leave the solar system) that actually happens in the event of a red sun. Rather, sunless, he still has his proverbial batteries to draw upon. Granted, destroying the sun would give Goku an advantage in a pitched fight, but since that would destroy the Earth as well, (biiig shockwave) Goku would have to either leave Earth seconds after detonating the sun, via instant transmission, or die along with the rest the planet.

But again, this is the problem of the entire argument. They used two entirely different source materials, from two entirely different cultures for that matter, so trying to draw a direct comparison borders on impossible. Especially when you consider how wildly Superman's power varies between various comic sources and all those animated series. I'm not even counting before the reboot, when he could destroy entire solar systems by sneezing.

That wasn't the best ERB. My personal favorite is Seuss and Shakespear or Russian ERB. But I really wish they wouldn't do fictional characters unless they relate to historical people like Seuss and the cat and the hat. I just feel like the historical figures battling are on average their best.

Oh they did this one now :p
Not going to go to this Youtube comment section...

I like Epic Rap Batlles, noticed them when they had more to go on season 1, watched every season 1 rap, then I watched a bit over half of season two when videos were released and now I haven't in some time. Now then I might watch some of them.

Favorites have to be Darth Vader vs Hitler trilogy and Beethoven vs Bieber.

Eh, it wasn't one of my favourites. Still good though.

My favourites are Chuck Norris Vs. Lincoln, and Beethoven Vs. Bieber.

Power wise, Superman has actually lifted the earth. So yeah. But in this case, I am giving the edge to Goku because of the simple fact stated through his first two lines.

I enjoyed this one. Not the best, but it was enjoyable. Both Goku and Superman had some great lines ("You look pretty pasty to be powered by the Sun").

As for the Goku Versus Superman debate, I think Death Battle had it more or less correct. Though, I think their math has some issues, since they used GT for SSJ4, but seemed to be using Buu Saga Goku's stats. You see GT makes it pretty obvious that Base form Goku is about as powerful as Goku's SSJ3 form in the Buu Saga. However, "Power levels are Bull Shit." And something they said in that rings true to me.

Goku is the man who can constantly surpass his limitations. Superman is the man without limitations. When they fight, only one of them has limitations to begin with.

I still prefer Goku as a hero. For one thing, he always fought his opponents away from civilians. Superman seems to insist to fight them right in the middle of one of the DC Universe's most populous cities, despite his supposed belief that even the buildings have more value than him and his overwhelming power. Gohan is better at Superman's job than Superman.

Counter point: Goku, and half his friends, can destroy the Earth with ease, if they so desire. It would literally take a fraction of his power to do so.

No it is that easy, they both god mode but Goku can take out planets, while that might not kill sups it means Goku is more powerful.

I even once took the time to balance them out once, Sups has durability that extends beyond SS4(basically let the sun go super nova sups would survive but be hurt) but speed and strength are more like at SS1 level, Now if you take non DBZ Goku I'd side with Sups beating Goku but DBZ takes things to a whole new level even pre SS.

Now if you go non god mode levels, the Superman from the 90s cartoon, he and Goku are close in power levels but since Goku has chi/energy manipulation I'd give him the upper hand but still it could go either way.

If Goku's only chance is to destroy Earth and/or the sun to beat Superman he's not going to do it to win a fight with one person to destroy billions of others. Yes planet Namek was destroyed with his fight with Freeza but it was Freeza that attacked the planet to destroy it. Goku would not outright nuke a planet {that ive seen) although not seeing every freaking episode I cant be sure but im going to go out on a limb and say no he wouldn't attack billions of others to win a fight with one.

Frankly given god mode sups durability even that wont kill him. More like Goku would lure him out and whack him against mars a few times but still you might be able to beat Sups but I doubt you could kill him least not god mode sups.

First off, it is a rap battle, not fan made battle to death, secondly Goku fucking kills it. If you watch it, the last line makes it clear that Goku is better than Superman in this rap battle.

Seriously, watch the video. I hate Superman and have never been a fan of Dragonball or Dragon Ball or however you write it, but Goku had some truly great lines in this rap.

My favorites are probably Freddie Mercury v. Frank Sinatra and the first one I ever saw, Einstein v. Hawking. Lines from that come to mind far more often than they ought to.

Err aren't they abit late? Screw Attack already did a death battle on this but I suppose this battle is merely about words (and who can diss the most!).
While the song is alright but they should stick to real historian people when it come to rap battle.
