Both Thelma & Louise and Johnny Suede came out in 1991. Thelma & Louise is very recognizable, instead went for the overlooked Johnny Suede since that didn't launch his career like Thelma & Louise did.

Fair enough. I saw it in the cinema because it had Cave and Jarmusch in it. I know Pitt had finished shooting Thelma and Louise because it was the only film he had on his CV when he went to the Johnny Suede casting.
