Good interview, he seems like a nice guy.
I've got two go-to zombie recommendations, incidentally. The first is a book, Handling the Undead ( http://www.amazon.com/Handling-Undead-John-Ajvide-Lindqvist/dp/B007HWA1XA/ref=la_B003VOR6Z4_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1401804349&sr=1-3 ) by John Lindqvist, who also wrote Let the Right One In. It's unsettling and, in ways I won't spoil, not at all what I'd expected from a trope as tired as zombies are. Worth the time to read and, given the premise of Suffer the Children I'd expected Mr. DiLouie had read it.
The other is La Horde ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP37roBJWhk ). Watch with the subtitles on, because original voices are always better than dubbed. It's everything the book above isn't - brutal, fast paced, and quite a good time.
