The Last of Us Comes to Diablo III in PS3/4 Exclusive Crossover Content

You'll be able to encounter some of The Last of Us' iconic zombies in the PS3/4 version of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls.

Fans of both Naughty Dog's The Last of Us and Blizzard's Diablo III will be in for a treat when the Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition comes to PS3 and PS4 [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/134430-Diablo-III-Reaper-of-Souls-Coming-to-Xbox-One-PS4-on-August-19] this August. Namely, when you're delving into the game's Nephalem Rifts, you may encounter a level containing some of the survival horror title's iconic zombie enemies.

Clickers and bloaters will appear exclusively in the PS3 and PS4 version of the game as enemies. If you've played Diablo III before, you'll know that enemies are dispatched with... much more ease than they are in The Last of Us. I'm sure slaughtering clickers by the truckload will satisfy those The Last of Us players who frequently got their neck snapped by the creepy sonar plant zombies in the Naughty Dog title.

The Ultimate Evil edition of Diablo III compiles the base game along with the recently-released Reaper of Souls expansion pack. It will be released for all current and next-gen consoles (except the Wii u - sorry Nintendo fans!) on August 19.

It's a nice touch. Would be cool if they'd do more stuff like that, with unique content for each platform. Don't get me wrong, I'm generally against platform-exclusive DLC, but this doesn't really affect the game in any practical way and is mainly cosmetic, so I'd be cool with it.

This kind of stunt is good for Sony but bad for Blizzard. The expansion were already pretty unimpressive in terms of content and burnt out Diablo fans won't like to feel excluded. It seems that when it comes to Diablo, Blizzard is all business and uncapable of catering to the game fans.

Note that I do not feel particularly affected, but I wouldn't dablle with exclusive content with a game that is already being acused of being a sell-out (among other things).

Did you actually play the expansion pack? It was pretty much everything that Diablo fans asked for.

So I'm not a real fan any more ? Thanks great to know. Wile I'm happy that PlayStation owners get some extra content, I just feel now depressed whenever I see how much they have deviated from the first two games.

Yeah, the fans are going to feel as betrayed as hell when they realise they don't get the reskin of 2 goddamn enemies who will probably be blown to unrecognizable parts 3 seconds after they appear on screen.

If you go to the Blizzard forums there many that will disagree with that assessment. (And I think many more out of the forums). It is common to see the words "overpriced", "lacking in content" (only two new playable characters, too short, etc), "too little, too late", "it adds stuff that should have been in the original" and many other stuff.

In my opinion, it makes the game better, but it still does not feel like a Diablo experience.

Diablo 2 was a game that I played day and night (and still play to his day), Diablo 3 is a somewhat fun thing that I play with my kids occasionally. It is one of those cases in which good is not good enough.

For some reason I hope the Clickers still one shot, Diablo players shouldn't get to miss out on the wonderful almost-always-unavoidable lol bite death.

The Bloaters reminded me of something I'd see in a faster game, with their explosive clouds.
