The Escapist Presents the Next Gen Giveaway

Today we give you the opportunity to win one of three fancy next-gen games. Don't miss out on all the fun.

In the past The Escapist has given away such things as a copy of Watch_Dogs and a Kindle Fire. This month, we team up once again with the talented people of GameFront to blow those other giveaways out of the water. This time around we are bringing our giveaway into the next generation of consoles. We are offering the winner the choice of Sniper Elite III on the Xbox One, Wii Sports Club for the Wii U, and The Last of Us Remastered on the PlayStation 4. You get to pick which game you receive if you win, we don't want you to win something you can't use so we've covered each of the newest consoles.

I expect people will still be calling it "Next Gen" for a little while longer to say the least. I think that usually happens with every generation.

Odd choice of titles. Wii Sports is probably one of the weaker titles to give out, but I suppose I wouldn't mind getting it since I'm on a bit of a health-kick and faux exercise is better than none. Last of Us (while I understand is an HD re-release) is a last gen game and I refuse to acknowledge its existence (or any other HD re-release) as a current-gen game. That's only going to encourage publishers to keep pulling that shit. And... no opinions on Sniper Elite. Just not a series I'm into really.

They're PC's from 4 years ago.

I don't remember it happening with the last generation, I think this time it's different because so many games are being made cross generation that it's important to make the distinction, and "Next Gen" still sounds flashier even if it's inaccurate.

It is ironic with half of their reviewers harping on about PC being the only platform worth playing anything on, that the Escapist would completely ignore them and not give a PC option for such a contest.
