Awesome Gaming Furniture is Awesome

As the generations that grew up on Pac-Man and Duck Hunt start families and move into homes of their own, so must there be gaming-themed (and/or gaming-enhanced) furniture - and these are 19 of the niftiest, geekiest pieces of furniture out there [http://weburbanist.com/2009/01/23/19-pieces-gaming-furniture/].

Now, one can't help but wonder where exactly these people are drawing the line between "gaming-inspired" and "for gamers." Because as cool as the PlayPod [http://playpod.blogspot.com/2007/10/playpod-multi-tainment-center_14.html] is (literally, it has an internal cooling system that will keep you from overheating once the door is closed) I have a hunch that the $100,000 price tag might be a bit too steep for most people.

Some of these things look like sculptures you're likely to find in a modern art museum (the look like Pac-Man [http://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/gamer4montage.jpg].

Sure, most of these might be a little bit out of our budget, but that doesn't mean they aren't completely awesome. Who knew that vertical, wall-mounted chess [http://www.straightupchess.com/] could work so well?

Some of these look good, but others just look like an eyesore. A bean bag chair or a recliner works fine for me, the only improvement I need is to buy one with a cup holder.

First thing I thought of when I saw that picture was the torture chair from Farscape...dunno why...

Some of these scare me, simple because of the way they seem to wrap around you, but, for the most part, pretty freakin cool.
