New Guardians of the Galaxy Character Posters Show off Villains

How many posters does one movie need? More, says Marvel.

With the release of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy only a few weeks away -- it will be hitting theaters on August 1st -- Marvel's continuing to promote the film heavily. There's a of character posters [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/135747-Marvel-Is-Showing-17-Minutes-Of-GOTG-In-Theaters-Free]. Though that's a lot of posters, we definitely love the chance to check out all of our favorite characters before the movie hits theaters.

And now even more characters are joining the mix with their own full-sized character posters, with the story's side-characters [http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/17/three-new-guardians-of-the-galaxy-villain-posters] including: Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace), Korath (Djimon Hounsou), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Nova Prime (Glenn Close), Corpsmen Dey (John C. Reilly), and Yondu (Michael Rooker). Though Nebula has made quite a splash in trailers so far, this is our first high res look at her character -- and we've seen even less of Ronan and Korath.

If you're here for the eye candy, check out the full gallery of character posters below.

OH!
Hi Aria T'Loak!
Fancy seeing you here. Shouldn't you be at the Afterlife, complaining about couches and red sand dealers?

Gosh, that's a lot of blue people.

It'll be hilarious to watch the fallout when this turns into a flop.
What makes you say it'll be a flop?

(Not challenging here, just curious.)

Perhaps that was a poor choice of words on my part. I meant if it flops. As for the chances of that happening, Marvel's track record has thus far been pretty good, but they haven't introduced so many characters at once before. Avengers had other movies to build up to it, but this will have a small army of new heroes, villains, and supporting cast thrown at us all at once.

It will almost certainly be at least good, but might not live up to all the hype.
