I understand this is awesome and relatively important to the events at hand, but I feel like an awful lot of time has passed here, when there's supposed to be a pretty clear time limit. On the other hand, anime physics means anime time, where "five minutes" means four or five 30-min episodes... dozens of weekly strips, easily.
From the looks of its he's taking advantage of the how ludicrously broad the sword is and just using it as a shield.RJ 17 said:

Turns out, he has several swords, only one seems to have the rings, and he's not using this one for the infiltration plan (the rings aren't in any strips since they got to the building). I went back to when they were in the hideout after fleeing to check (strip #114).
Size matters less than density, if that sword were made of carbon fiber it would be light enough to lift with one hand easily, magnesium alloy is not much more dense than that and is still stupidly light.RJ 17 said:

You know,if you were to shove that sword in a doorway and had it pointed vertically,you could probably block the door entirely and stop anybody from getting past.
