It says it's developed by Keen Games, whoever that is.Kenjitsuka said:Six out of ten? Oh man, what have you done, Larian studios!!!
Well, more time for me to play through my massive game back log I guess... :\
What? Larian? Where? It was made by Keen Games and published by Deep Silver! o_oKenjitsuka said:Six out of ten? Oh man, what have you done, Larian studios!
Weird, the most I've heard was that it was a "fine" game, but I've never heard something remotely similar to "it was so good", I personally always felt a bit of interest in the "cyber dog" the previous one had, but not much more.Crazy Zaul said:I don't know why everyone thought Sacred 2 was so good.
Jim did some playtime on it on his YouTube channel, which told me all I needed to know about it. I think the review may have actually been a touch kind to it.Halyah said:Speaking as a fan of the original Sacred games, what I get out of the review is that unless the game is being sold at one helluva discount then it ain't worth getting since I'd get a lot more out of just about any other hack and slash game that I could think of on the spot. To think I was actually excited at one point to hear that there was gonna be a Sacred 3...
Which is good, because I can't see myself buying from them at full price, given what I've seen them release.ticklefist said:And thankfully Deep Silver doesn't wait long before discounting its games.
I can't judge it vs Diablo, but watching gameplay footage left me underwhelmed.shrekfan246 said:To be honest, the gameplay actually sounds far more interesting than other Diablo-likes to me. Diablo III is really the only isometric hack&slash game that has ever held my interest, though Divine Divinity is a close second, so the gameplay of Sacred 3 being more akin to a brawler than anything else sounds really cool.
It's just too bad that it sounds like everything else is so much more compressed and thinly cut.
I was only underwhelmed because of how... bare everything surrounding the combat seemed.Zachary Amaranth said:I can't judge it vs Diablo, but watching gameplay footage left me underwhelmed.
Come to think of it, I got Sacred 2 in a bundle somewhere. I should try that.
God,I can't imagine watching TB play this thing, but the problem I have is that the combat already mostly had me saying "eh" and everything else made me wonder why I was still watching.shrekfan246 said:I was only underwhelmed because of how... bare everything surrounding the combat seemed.
The combat itself, watching both Jim and TotalBiscuit's videos, looked pretty fun to me. But because there's a complete lack of real surprising progression, it kinda just... makes you have to say "Eh", you know?
Shame.
