This Is What Happens When Warhammer 40k Orks Loot a Gundam

Twin buzzsaws make everything better.

Space is big. You just won't believe how mind-bogglingly big it is. While the Imperium of Man spans millions of worlds, there are still many alien worlds that require cleansing. As such, it's entirely possible that a freak warpstorm might dump a Gundam or two onto a planet infested by Orks. After all, they already invaded [a rhef=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/136820-Hearthstone-Paired-Up-With-Mobile-Suit-Gundam-in-an-Epic-Fan-Made-Crossover]Hearthstone[/a]. Hobbyist "Irondog" created just such a mashup, showing what a Gundam would look like if it got looted by a band of Warhammer 40K Orks.

He starts out with a classic Gundam RX-78 model and then gets to work. Extra bits of armor get bolted on in a haphazard fashion, and the hands are replaced with dual buzzsaws, naturally. There's a ton of little details, covering the model, like the spiked toes added to the feet, and the hoses/wires powering the new additions. My favorite are the little chains connected to the twin buzzsaws. They're so cute.

He's also built an Ork Stompa out of a [a href=http://www.irondogstudios.com/images/tater/mek_tater.html]Mr. Potatohead[/a] and an [a href=http://www.irondogstudios.com/images/akiraboss/mek_akiraboss.html]Ork Warboss riding Akira's motorcycle[/a]. Personally, I'd like to see what an Ork might do to a Transformer.

I did this but I used one of the chibi models based on this type( http://i.imgur.com/tQ7r0l.png ) and I cut out the 'eyeslit' so you could see the grot driver inside. I should've documented the process.

probably something along the lines of Deff-knight or kustom deffdread
orks in 40k are not very creative in there names they tend to just name them after what they do, what they are, and there size, while trying to shove the letter k in wherever they can.

I always love it when players field kustom/looted Deff Dreds, Killa Kanz and Stompas.

Honestly I'm of the opinion that it's you're not kustomizing the crap your of your Ork models you just aren't playing correctly.

If it looks the same as everything else. It ain't orky. That's right. No ork does things "By the books" I am not sure Orks even have books at all.

Or an anime about people playing the game YiGiOh style (possibly with holograms). I've taken many a Gundam bit and stuck them to Crisis suits, but I've never taken a whole converted Gundam to the field... Except for one tourney which was a day after the new GK codex's release. I spraypainted a Wing Zero silver and hot glued it to a base with a Grey Knight Termie standing between it's legs.

Yeah...those kits that come already orkified, so that everyone has the same orkifications on their models...bleh. Take a basic model and stick stuff on at random.

Looted Gundam is pretty cool, but the modeler's Mr. Potato Head stompa is a thing of sheer brilliance.
