Family Guy Artist Does LittleBigPlanet Level

LittleBigPlanet [http://www.familyguy.com/], and if the YouTube preview is anything to go by it's going to be a pretty wild ride.

Swinging pirate ships, demonic-look cats with gas problems, giant eyeballs and all sorts of other oddness await the intrepid Sackboy as he journeys through the level. What's missing, which will no doubt disappoint fans of the series, is actual Family Guy stuff; despite his affiliation with the series, this is most definitely not a Family Guy level.

"I'm not a huge gamer, but I recently had the opportunity to design a level with PlayStation for LittleBigPlanet," Vaux wrote on his website. "The game is pretty amazing. You can design and build just about anything."

The New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund [http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=YzfaIoCILNA&eurl=http://ps3.kombo.com/article.php?artid=9312&feature=player_embedded]. No indication as to who else will be creating levels for the patch has been given, however; in fact, aside from a brief mention on YouTube, there's no evidence that such a thing even exists.

While we wait to find out about that, you can get a better taste of what's in store for Vaux's LittleBigPlanet level by checking out his website at joevaux.com [http://www.joevaux.com/]. It's worth a look even if you don't play LittleBigPlanet: Family Guy suddenly seems very, very normal in comparison.

Nice. I wouldn't say it's the best LBP level out there, but it's just cool for the fact that the Vaux guy is making this!

Interesting. It's nice this kind of cross-media relationship among developers and I'm guessing Family Guy fans are itching for some kind of easter egg.

DAMNIT!
It's been modded off already.

Just kidding, but try this quickly before they decide it's a violation of some property.

They did that to a handful of levels in order to keep Microsoft's lawyers quiet and stopped caring about two months ago - "Metal Gear Sacklid", "Little Dead Space" and "Silent Hill Tribute" are the first levels that appear on the community page and each has over 100,000 plays. Please keep any anti-Sony gags relatively fresh.
I'm not anti-sony. You just don't know me. I'm no M$ crony. I got real money.

Seriously though: I love my ps3 but LBP was way overhyped. The modding fiasco just ruined the whole community spirit for me. I stopped building my LBP level and went back to Echocrome, it's just more my thing. Actually my wife & I haven't played LBP in a while; maybe we'll jump in and give this one a whirl.

I think I know what you mean. Trophy support was a terrible idea at least... as was a layout which has the same levels at the top of the pile that have been there since the beta. The key problem is that there's absolutely no incentive for someone to sit down and spend time making a good, detailed level because it probably won't get seen, let alone played.
I hear you.
After that whole modding fiasco, those were the only levels left; probably one of the reasons I lost interest.

I think the only game that was properly patched for Trophies was Fallout 3. All the other ones I have/had (GTA4, BurnoutP, LBP) where the trophies got patched in got screwed with the patch. My biggest complaint is that they seem to have rendered the backup utility as useless because even if you try and load post-patch data to a new machine/HDD (even with the same PSN) it wont work. The trophies are cute and all but I'd rather have a functioning backup utility. But that's a whole 'nother gripe.
