The Escapist is Giving Away a Sunset Overdrive Xbox One Bundle

<a href=http://lockerdome.com/theescapist/6170038851878465/7081305049401626>

Enter The Escapist's Sunset Overdrive bundle giveaway by October 28th for a chance to win the game and a free Xbox One.

Are you excited for Sunset Overdrive? Of course your are! After all, how could you not be looking forward to a game that combines third-person action, rail grinding colors and an energy drink mutant apocalypse into one, <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/video-games/conferences/e32014/11709-Sunset-Overdrive-It-s-About-Fun-Not-Realism>brightly colored package? That being said, how would you like to play the game for free? And, while you're at it, how would you like a complimentary Xbox One to go along with it? Both could be yours thanks to The Escapist.

You see, Microsoft has been kind enough to give us an Xbox One Special Edition Overdrive Bundle and we, in turn, would like to give it to one of you. To get a shot at it, all you need to do is head over to the <a href=http://lockerdome.com/theescapist/6170038851878465/7081305049401626>contest entry page and engage in a series of social media acts to enter you name into a digital drawing. Each act puts your name into the drawing multiple times with an upper limit of 47. Sharing the contest page on Twitter, for instance, will enter your name in five times while following The Escapist will enter you in another three times.

Participants have until 4:45PM (EST) on October 28th to enter the contest. Once that time passes, a random drawing will occur and a single grand prize winner will be selected and notified by email, telephone or snail mail. The bundle can only be shipped to addresses within the borders of the United States. The bundle itself will contain a white Xbox One with a controller, a download edition of <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/sunset%20overdrive>Sunset Overdrive along with its day one DLC and an Xbox One headset. Participants interested in seeing the full rules list <a href=http://lockerdome.com/7081305049401626/rules>can find it here.

I wish they would have contests that were NOT tied into Twitter and Facebook. If someone chooses not to use either of those they are at a disadvantage in the contest. It is nice they are giving away an xbox, just wish they would keep the contests the way they used to be, and not tying unrelated crappy social media sites into them like they do now. I would rather not enter at all than participate in social media contest.

There is a special circle of hell reserved for people who run contests through facebook and twitter just to generate fake buzz. Good thing I have zero interest in winning this, or I might actually be upset.

http://lockerdome.com/7081305049401626/rules "This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia, Canada, Australia, and the UK who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. "

Either Mr. Shearer is wrong or the rules are. Or perhaps Us only contests are the norm so much that muscle memory took over.

I'd enter, but it's not letting me do anything until I create an account with Lockerdome and allow it access to my accounts. No thank you.

that's a good point although no clue whether there's any Claus that states that its only applies to america but since the official rules state that its for said countries then i feel there shouldn't be any reason why they wouldn't ship from america

and there's seems to be no official word from the page itself saying its america only

Once again. It is not givaway if your using lockerdome. its a trade of your facebook and twiter profiles for a lottery ticket. because lockerdome WILL spam ads from your accounts till you get banned.

I'd suggest it's more to do with region locking and them only having an NTSC region console to give away. Either that or it's a case of "You're free to enter this competition, but shit out of luck if you want a prize m8."

AAAAAAAAAAND YUP! On the terms page:

"PRIZE CONDITIONS

The shipping addresses for winners must be within the United States. No substitution for any prize will be permitted. If necessary due to unavailability of the Prize, a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded at the discretion of the Sponsors. Prize is not transferable, assignable or redeemable for cash."

Which begs the question Escapist... if I enter... as a UK resident... what do I get if I win?

I'd love the console, but I can't be assed to go through all the work of trying to get it when I already know I would not win.

Fun Fact: Did you know in the country they charge upwards of 600$ for consoles? Stores pretend to be out of stock so they can hike up the prices.

Actually name brand retail stores.
