Alien: Isolation Receives First Batch of Downloadable Content Today

Investigate Sevastopol Station long before the Weyland-Yutani team arrives and suit up as a new playable character with this expanded content.

If you've already braved the nail-biting suspense machine that is Alien: Isolation, chances are you were left wanting more. That works out rather well, given the fact that the excellent survival horror title is receiving the first of five planned batches of DLC today, and you can download it right now.

Corporate Lockdown delivers three additional maps for Survivor Mode, with a challenge pack that's poised to offer additional information regarding what happened aboard Sevastopol Station before the Weyland-Yutani team made contact. Additionally, players will receive a new set of objectives to complete, Gauntlet Mode, and a brand new playable character.

Corporate Lockdown is $7.99 on all platforms and will be followed by the Trauma, Safe Haven, Lost Contact, and The Trigger downloadable content packages, which will be releasing by March 2015. In short, there's no reason to trade in or sell your copy of Alien: Isolation just yet.

Alien: Isolation released earlier this month for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Set 15 years after the original Alien film, it follows Amanda Ripley, who navigates the remnants of the space station Sevastopol in order to investigate the disappearance of her mother Ellen Ripley. It has since received vastly more positive reviews [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/video-games/editorials/reviews/12346-Alien-Isolation-Review] than the previous Alien-related title Aliens: Colonial Marines.

I see you going down here, yes you, don't read the comments until you play the game entirely unless you want unintentional spoilers hardcore.
Thank you for listening, now back off slowly. XD

Anyoo, this game is really high quality, I'm glad it's getting DLC.

Oh goody. More reasons to be completely terrified. I only recently finished the main campaign...

I actually rather hope they don't give us the flamethrower in this DLC, or that they're a lot more conservative on how much ammo they let you have. For me, the best parts of Alien Isolation were when I was without it. The flamethrower just meant that if I screwed up the stealth, I wasn't dead, and I rarely screwed up the stealth...

Nice :v this game is really worth every penny.

The only thing I wish for is that the alien had more killing animations, it get's kinda boring to see him backstab you all the time and in general kill you the same way.

Nitpicking aside, totally getting this.

Creepy as fuck D:

Oh joy. Get back to me when they release a patch that makes the game good. Seriously, of all the many MANY problems this game has, not enough Survival maps is not one of them.
