Vin Diesel Teases Marvel Fans of a Possible Inhumans Role

The actor who played the lovable Groot could have a role in Marvel's Inhumans.

is about a race of humanoids [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/138262-Marvel-Studios-Phase-3-Plans-Revealed] mostly with superpowers living in secret. They were first introduced as supporting characters in The Fantastic Four.

Fan speculation [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/130777-Vin-Diesel-to-Play-Sentient-Tree-Groot-in-Marvels-Guardians-of-the-Galaxy] has pegged Diesel as a possible actor for Black Bolt in Inhumans, a role that would involve no speaking. Black Bolt's greatest weapon is his voice, which can destroy a city. As a result, he keeps himself from making noise.

Back in August, after Guardians of the Galaxy opened in theaters, Diesel posted a picture of Groot [https://www.facebook.com/VinDiesel/photos/a.101465923312.101581.89562268312/10152718210358313/] and wrote, "Vin and Marvel... you all made it happen! I get the strange feeling that Marvel thinks I'm Inhuman... Haha."

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will release May 2017. Diesel provides the voice of Groot, but he does not need to do any motion-capture work as Groot is largely created through post-production. So, Diesel could easily handle two different Marvel movies around the same time.

Marvel's cinematic universe has been built up over the last several years and only shows signs of continuing to do so.

He's just posturing at this point. He seems like an obvious choice, though not necessarily the best choice. It's easy to imagine him in Black Bolt cosplay.

I'm not very excited about seeing Black Bolt on screen. The drama of the Inhumans royal family always comes across on overbearing and overwrought. I am excited for more superhumans in general to populate the MCU.

Well, Vin is one of those actors that can pull off the badass gravelly voice rather well, without being overexaggerated, and one would expect that a person that can shatter mountains with a whisper would sound about like that.

I was under the impression that he wore the stilts so the other actors had somthing to look at, makeing it easier for the animation team behind groot, perhaps there is some truth in both our assumptions.

For some reason when i heard about this i imagined a scene in which groot and black bolt face off with eacher other while everyone else stand around looking awkard at the display of one man saying nothing and the other repeating himself, bonus surreal points for both character's being played by vin diesel.

No, Vin Diesel didn't do any on set acting. They used a stand-in for that.
