New Avengers 2 Trailer To Debut During College Football Playoff

New trailer scheduled to drop on ESPN during National Championship game

Marvel's hotly-anticipated sequel football [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/avengers%20age%20of%20ultron] game.

Marvel/Disney has confirmed that the second trailer for the superhero team-up epic will premiere during ESPN's broadcast of the College Football Playoff National Championship [http://www.collegefootballplayoff.com/] on January 12th, 2015. No details have been provided as to what point in said broadcast the trailer will actually run. The game will be between #4 ranked Ohio State and #2 ranked Oregon, with both teams boasting a 13-1 record for the season.

Seems a strange place to put it. Are they trying to use the trailer to draw attention to the match, because i find it doubtful that a movie as anticipated as the Avengers 2 needs the match to get attention for itself.

I tend to think it's along the lines of the opposite of 'preaching to the choir'. They want to advertise to sections of the movie going public that is likely not into this geek stuff.
