This is one out of the two games my dad ever really played (the other being HoMM III). He eventually got gold on all 19 missions, something I never managed to accomplish (had maybe 5 or 6 silvers left back in the day).

I hated this game as a kid. But I also really wanted a Xwing or Tie fighter follow up so I hated any star wars game that wasn't that. Jedi Star Fighter was okay though and did what this sorry excuse for a game was trying to do better. I STILL HATE THIS GAME!

What I really want to know is if there will be any updates to fix the buggy camera. I don't remember my third person viewpoint suddenly zooming out for no reason when I played on the N64...

Another old favourite of mine on the N64. Lots of hidden missions and ships like the Millenium Falcon and Naboo Starfighter, but I could never get to the last hidden mission because getting a Gold medal in Raid on Sullust is completely impossible. You would hear the chime of over 40 missile locks within the first minute, and you need to destroy every single structure within 3 minutes in your slow, slow, Y-Wing. Battle of Mon Calamari was awesome though. Shame they never gave Kasan Moor 'legitimacy' in the EU with a mention like Keyan Farlander from X-Wing.

Huh, I had no idea this game had a PC release. I always thought it was an N64 exclusive. Then again this was back in the age when the internet was just born so I guess it's understandable that I would miss that sort of information. Still brings back memories though. I know I couldn't beat the game at all without using cheat codes but I didn't care in the slightest. I was just having fun shooting Tie Fighters out of the air and beating every level with every available ship.

The sequal was so much of a improvement over the orginal and what's funny is the game had V-wings which are different then the movies

I love this game, and the other starfighter games from factor 5, even the crummy walking around parts in the gamecube game.

With the technical issues... well, it's a miracle by itself that the game is playable at all, the wizards at GOG did what they could to make this game run in modern systems, so I'd cut it some slack in that area, also the game was designed for the N64 in mind, so that's also pretty impressive.

Back then, I only played this game twice, when I rented it and at a friend's home, didn't grab my interest enough to buy it, but I definitely remember enjoying it.

That title got me excited for a second there. I thought this was a Nintendo 3DS remastered re-release.

Haha! Oh man, I totally hear you. Especially after X-Wing Alliance this game definately felt dumbed down. Still, for what it is - not a space sim but an arcade flying game - I liked it. But it DID take me a while to get there.

Also, I hate canyon walls. Especially ones near AT-ATs.

I dumped so much time into this game as a kid. I remember the first AT-AT mission. I couldn't figure out how to take them down, so I spent and hour ignoring them, destroying EVERYTHING in the city trying to figure out what the objective was, and eventually crashing.

Oddly, I hated the Speeder, but I LOOOOOOVED the V-Wing. OP tracking missiles FTW!

I doubt that there are any players with 100% gold medals that did so without using the cluster missiles.

One squadron of TIE-D fighters. One cluster missile. Done.
