We're halfway into the second week of March already. This seems like a pretty late start >.>

Ended up pretty different this year. Last year I had Bioware winning, this year they got bumped off in the first round and it was Nintendo vs Blizzard in the final round.

Walking back in tournaments, there are some ones I don't remember ;)

What's amazing is, this would have been back in 2014 when everyone on the site was moaning about sexism.

Edit: Never mind, they removed it.

Huh, From Software ended up winning my bracket. Bioware usually do pretty well for me, but I'm completely indifferent towards DA:I so that knocked them out pretty quick, and the new WoW expansion just didn't have enough to keep me entertained, so they didn't do great either.

How exactly?

I'd agree with you if this was starting same time next week or so, but there's still plenty of time in March to do this if you ask me.

That link is for a site owned and operated by our parent company, but their events and content are not affiliated with The Escapist in any way. Even so, the same technology platform created by us for March Mayhem was used last year for their own event.

It does now, I'm glad it was changed. I only wish I hadn't stumbled across it, prechange, while at work. That was really uncomfortable.

Its always so sad when I realize my personal favorites aren't gettin anywhere in these tournaments. Bravely Default is goin to get crushed by Assassins Creed Mordor edition. 11 Bit Studios and This War of Mine will be decimated by DoTA 2 which wasn't even released last year. Gamefreak will get pummeled by that MMO that pretends its not an MMO (on a site that generally hates MMO's, whats up with that?).

Eidos is goin to beat out Blizzard which for the most part I'm fine with based off what everyone else has said about the game, then I actually bought the game and it was so horrifically optimized that I sat at sub 15 fps at times makin the game nearly unplayable.

On the plus side I'm really happy that Bandai Namco and Smash Bros will absolutely be makin it up to near the end. Loved the hell out of Smash Bros and I'll enjoy seein it get some deserved respect.

Huh, no Obsidian Entertainment. They might be on it next year I suppose, they'll have released Pillars of Eternity by then. Still, I know they're my favourite developer but I doubt they're enough peoples' favourite to win even if they were part of it.

Wasn't Maxis recently shut down? Be funny if they won even though they don't exist anymore.

I JUST finished Alpha Sapphire (now for online play hehehe) so I had to go against Bioware. I think that was the only tough choice. That and trying to predict which is going to win between Edios and whatever other terrible thing it went up against.

My bracket has Bioware winning it all, with Monolith in second. Valve and Supergiant go to the semis. My ideal final would be between Machine Games and Blizzard, so of course with my luck that's happening in the first round.

I hope this tournament doesn't reach front page on the League of Legends subreddit otherwise this contest is already over, no one can compete with their playerbase in terms of sheer numbers.

Dark Souls is my current pleasure (Magnificent incident today with a friend on a skype call doing invasions. Randomly ended up invading me while we thought we were out of level range... Lightning Spears and Dung Pies ensued) so From kind of dominated the board (I prefer DS 1 over 2 but both are wonderful). Fitting considering they have BloodBorne coming out in under a fortnight...

Gonna be interesting seeing how well Inquisition does considering how well received it has been by practically everyone I know.

Hah ... funny, I would of voted for Bioware if I never gotten my hands on Omega Ruby.

Even though I loved Mass Effect 1-3 and really enjoyed Dragon Age: Inquisition, Omega Ruby was far more than I had prayed for. It even topped Pokemon X & Y if that was relatively possible. Main reason is they added way more than the game could of gotten away with and even after beating the main game ... there's that really cool Delta episode and then ANOTHER whole game afterwards in an entirely new world. It blew my expectations and I had to vote for Game Freak over Bioware.

Although, I am rooting for From Software to win because I am a massive Dark Souls 2 fan. I had From Software fight off against Riot Games at the finale, because I absolutely love League of Legends, even though I would of preferred Omega Ruby to face off Dark Souls 2 at the end. All well, I believe regardless of which company takes home #1 spot... most of these games are amazing for sure.
Entirely new world? Am I missing a bit? I just finished the Delta Episode and then broke my back snatching all the legendaries.

I did "off" From a little early, but that's only because they got slaughtered last year. Even though I never played Demons Souls, (and never intend to due to controls) beat Nito and then gave up on DS I, I must have played Dark Souls II...I think five times. I did have From in the finals last bracket, but apparently the forums don't share our passion for the game.

I wanted to like AS more than I did, and I did like it. The visuals were impressive and the game world was beautiful, but Gen III was my least favorite. That and apparently some of the Pokemon I was using in X from the GTS were hacked, so I have to get a few replacements and plenty of heart scales.
