Al Pacino long ago worked out that he could get paid big bucks by eating the scenery and just mail it in. I think it was somewhere around Scent of Woman that he discovered this. Pacino will sometimes put in a good performance buts its very rare.
OT: Something that I've started wishing for in these reviews is a third page (or just part of another page) with spoilers hanging out. An ending that just happens, but is ambiguous, but not ambiguous enough? That's the kind of thing that deserves a decent explanation.
