The Adorable Spider-Man - Check Out These Renew Your Vows Images

Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows reunites Peter, Mary Jane, and Mayday Parker - complete with adorably wonderful alternate covers.

I'll admit that I'm <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/comicsandcosplay/13855-The-Best-15-Comics-From-April-2015.5>a bit of a sucker for superhero family stories. So it certainly makes me happy when I hear that Marvel Comics <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/138298-Marvel-Comics-Teases-Return-of-Spider-Mans-Marriage-And-Daughter>will reunite the Parker family - at least temporarily - for this year's Secret Wars. Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows will do exactly that in June, showing a parallel universe where Peter Parker and Mary Jane never had <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/the-big-picture/2501-The-Devil-Mr-Parker>One More Day - and where Spider-Man's priority is raising his daughter Mayday.

In case you aren't following comic book news, last week's Secret Wars #1 introduced Battleworld - a mish-mash of parallel Marvel Earths occupying a single planet. Here, at least one Spider-Man is still the husband of Mary Jane, and left superheroics behind to focus on his family. But when the villainous Regent starts killing heroes, Peter Parker's family becomes targets, forcing him to take action.

Renew Your Vows probably won't have a huge presence in the Secret Wars event, but serves one major goal: Bringing Peter and Mary Jane back together after the much-maligned One More Day storyline. It also serves to introduce a young May "Mayday" Parker, who grew up to become Spider-Girl in a fan-favorite alternate universe comic series. While I certainly don't follow Spider-Man's marriage woes like some readers, if Renew Your Vows is just as adorable as its cover images? It'll be a wonderful return to form for many fans.

Love it. The best part of Spiderman was that he changed over time and got married, and of all the Spider-Man variants, Spider-Girl was my favorite.

Now if they could just learn from that and stop "One More Day"ing Star Wars.

Looking at picture 5 I get the feeling some comic book Artists don't know how not to draw cheese cake shots.

Frankly, I'm okay with this. Especially since the Spider-Girl comics were pretty good, and don't get their due as often as I'd like them to. It'd also be nice to see a universe without the scourge of "One More Day'. Seriously, fuck "One More Day".

Hope this is a sign they realise they need to get back to this sort of spiderman, during the mary jane days spiderman always felt the most human down to earth character you could relate to with a wife and child.

A Spider-man without "One More Day" is the best Spider-man.

Also, I'm a hopeless romantic and lover of Spider-Girl, so double-bonus for me.

I know it's "temporary", but it would be just SO amazing if this resonated well enough to stick. Because, seriously, screw "One More Day".

So Peter becomes a father and actually gets to grow the fuck up? Cool.
