I'm happy that Heroes is breaking into the E-sports scene, but that is an odd tournament setup. The Taiwan and Korea championship are alright, but wouldn't it make more sense to put Australia & New Zealand into the Europe Championship and Southeast Asia into the China Championship?

I can understand North and Latin America being in the same group but it looks like they put four times the amount of people all in the America Championship while still only having two teams win.

Winning team gets like 16.6% of the total prize pool... thats like 4% more than if the 8 qualifying teams just split the prize pool evenly.

Also it says 1.2 mil in prizes, I bet a lot of those are in digital goods.

From my experiences playing it, there just isn't a lot of flexibility in the gameplay. The game is too focused on teamfights and objectives to be really interesting. Without the flexibility that items provide, there will never be something like a witch doctor with a surprise BKB, or a Gyro that decimate the enemy team with a sudden Divine Rapier. With every character being predictable, I just don't think the game will be a very interesting game to watch. At least not as much as dota or lol. I hope I'm wrong.

Why does Blizzard even bother any more? They've showed they can't make good esport titles that people are interested in, they keep trying to make their games as casual and simple as possible so that everyone's mom might play/watch it that they remove any complexity that makes the game entertaining to watch and play. LoL might be a simplified version of Dota but at least that game is engaging and not baby's first moba material like hots. This one will probably die a lot faster than SC2.
