Big Game - Hunting the President of the United States

Big Game sees Samuel L. Jackson playing the President of the United States in a silly action movie that feels like a throwback to the 1980s.

Suomi mainittu! Torilla tavataan!!!
(It's a Finnish thing...)

I haven't seen the film yet, I haven't even seen Rare Export yet. I've been thinking about Rare Export for several years but just haven't gotten around to it. But yeah, seems like a movie I might enjoy, just because of how "bad" it might be.

Only fitting that the first commenters are Finns themselves... Low-budget, yeah, but it's still the most expensive movie produced in Finland - 8.5 million euros. Also note that none of it was shot here ("Lapland" is in Germany). I haven't seen it myself and Rare Exports is good... for the twenty minutes of screentime that has anything happening.

Ooh I need to see this and exports. Thanks for the recommndation guys!
It's great how Samuel L Jackson only does roles that aptly suit how seriously we public take him for. He is just damn efficient at his job. With this and the Kingsman, I may be getting some love for the dude again!

From the guy that brought us Rare Exports is good enough for me. Rare Exports is a glorious movie...if you don't mind seeing old man dong.

I fucking love Rare Exports when I finally got to see it for myself... The fact that the premise is showcased in this semi-realistic execution (especially when the characters are reacting to this truth about "Santa Claus" firsthand) made it a fun treat to experience... With that said, just the fact that SLJ's in this movie was more than enough for me to want to see this movie when I can... Also, since this movie, alongside Rare Exports, does have characters that act naturally to their personality without going into that "wink/nudge to the audience" when you end up chuckling/laughing with the movie, I'm sure that's just more incentive to, at least, like this movie from start to finish...

"You're not supposed to think about how gleefully stupid this all is. Just sit back and enjoy the ride."

That describes almost all modern Holywood movies. Is there a point at which audiences are supposed to think?
